f*** you for my dealer

Haha, I was listening to WSB AM this afternoon and heard an ad that said this dealership had won a "Consumer's Choice" award for business excellence. Maybe they should live up to that, huh Matt?

Well here's the latest. It looks like I'm gonna at least get a paint job. I talked to the GM this morning. He said that they found nothing at the port but that he talked to Mazda in Cali and that they were gonna cover it. Part of the reason he said that I'm getting a paint job is that he talked to my salesman. I'm sure my salesman told him that if they don't pull their head out of their ass then they're gonna lose a good customer.

I'm glad you are getting a new paint job! Hopefully that will help make it better for you.

Carfax is a joke. It will not have anything on the report. I ran a few cars known to be wrecked badly and there wasn't anything on the report. It was kinda funny to find that my friends totalled saturn was repaired and on the road in PA! Only police reported accidents and title problems will show up on carfax.

Yeah, carfax is a tool aimed at morons to help them feel secure with their automotive decisions- the same people are the ones who buy those "emergency hammers" to break the windows, cut the seat belts, etc. in case they run off into a river while drinking their latte :).

You mean those little hammers don't work?! *runs out to car and throws hammer in trash*

Funny thing is my mom got me one for Xmas a long time ago. It has a flash light on it so I can see where I will be hammering LOL :D

Lol.. I can think of where it would come in handy as a tool to beat something with when needed. Plus if it has a flashlight, that can be useful too :).

So it's in the shop getting fixed as I type. But I thought you guys would find this funny.

I've been without my car for a week or so. I'm driving a loaner 6. It's a 4 cyl auto. So it's butt slow. So I've seen at least 5 or 6 MSPs in the last week. Everytime without thinking I start waving and stuff. They of course look at me like I'm crazy. The weird thing is when I was driving my MSP I never see any other ones. I'm sure once I have my car back I won't see any either.

This happens EVERY time my car's in the shop. The last time, my car was laid up for three weeks waiting on an axle, and I saw three MSPs that I had not seen in Austin before... It's crazy.

..Okay, I'm going to go drive now. W00T

You suck. Subtly rubbing it in my face that you can go drive your MSP.:p

Same here. Whenever I'm driving my girlfriends car I see a MSP. I've only seen 2 on the road in 7 months when I was driving mine.

Just for everyone's information...a spring-loaded window punch is much more effective than those hammers. It's what I use at accident scenes.

The seat belt cutter on those things work, but the problem is how are you going to get to it if you can't just unbuckle the seatbelt yourself? Seatbelt cutters are more for rescue workers who can't reach the buckle.

Everytime I see another MSP and wave/beep they give me a "what the ****" look that really pisses me off. I'm like , "OUR CAR IS SPECIAL AND RARE SO WE SHOULD AUTOMATICALLY BE FRIENDS YOU DUMB ****!!" Jesus, don't they know? The only friendly MSP I have ever encountered was ServoEyes, who also tagged my car and directed me to this site!

I saw a blue one today. I wanted to talk to him but I was one car behind in another lane. I wonder what he would have though about a guy in an ancient Volvo wagon telling him about a California Protege Owners Club? :p

to be honest, it doen't matter who did the work whether it was an excellent job or not.

your dealer sold you a "NEW" car that wasn't new.
if they sold it to you without telling you then they is defrauded you esp if they tried to cover it up.
contact your better business bureau and at least let them know about your situation maybe even an action news station (investigative reporters) in your are.

even if you don't get any money out of it at least you can tarnish thier reputation or have them get fined. anything you do is better than nothing.

good luck and keep us posted
Not exactly. Cars are often damaged in transit, and usually a car can be sold as "new" if it hasn't had more than 15% of it's value in costs to repair the damages.

That however doesn't mean that they can sell with a bad paint job, at least in my opinion. Ehhh...
