f^#%!$& @$$holes.............part 2

I'm going to jump back in here since I seemed to have started quite a discussion here. A good discussion too, not a stupid you're bad/good flame war. Everyone here has had something good and relevant to say. First off , my initial statement was about all things, not just drugs. I would never force or push drugs on anyone. I meant the quote " I'll never do anything" is just a bad way to live life. Life is about doing things. I hate that commercial with the bubble boy. Are we supposed to want to emulate him? Sure living in a bubble will keep you from second hand smoke, but s***, if you never leave the house you'll live forever, but who wants that life? Not me. I'll take my life and all the ****** up and great things I've done. Which comes to the point of those that judge me. I'm 41 y/o and done twice as much as any of you are ever going to do. From traveling the world in the Marines to shooting heroin with rock stars to raising my awesome son to playing stadiums in front of thousands of people. Trust me when I say that drugs are like anything else dangerous. They are a tool just like a power drill. It can be very useful for it's intended purpose, but you better be careful and use precaution. And Ill never whine about oh I should have done this, or I regret that. Sure Ive had my share of problems, but its called experience. I find it interesting in a forum dedicated to the one object that has ruined more lives than any other invention in the history of the world, cars, people can get righteous about "my body is a temple and all that crap. Your Proteg is spilling more junk into the air and causing more political unrest through out the world and just as bad for civilization as you can imagine. Just think of all the miles of the earth that have been paved over for cars. And by the way, do you eat meat or drink milk? They are both so full of s*** pumped into the cows by the agribusiness that dont give a crap about you. And by the way, I would have a good think about all the great inventions, music, progress, literature, and ideas that make your life better that came from people who were WAY ****** up on drugs. I could ramble forever but Ill end it here with a quote from a legendary band, The Butthole Surfers, who I spent a couple good days tripping on acid with... Its better to regret what you have done, then regret what you havent done:p

ooo..great quote. :)

and BTW, thanx about the pic...I snapped it a couple of days ago with my webcam..far from a pro pic, but who wants to get dolled up for pix? I'd rather have a real life pic that shows me just the way I am. :)

Yea, it will be great going to your grave knowing that you never did anything. why be alive?

you call getting wasted so far off your ass you cant remember what happened a life? wow your smart. Id rather stay clean and party and remember what happened then to have to ask all my friends how much of an ass i made of my self. kinda defeats the purpose of having fun, if you cant remember what fun you had.

nice way to avoid the heat, we all know what you really meant you didn't have ot try to sugar coat it with this long drawn out ramble session ;)

and the quote in general is kinda stupid if you think about it. the only things you could regret not doign are good things, it makes sense in that sense, but drug wise why would you regret not doing drugs or regret not getting wasted of your ass?

Obviously, you missed the whole point, but that's your problem. And who said anything about getting wasted off your ass and not remembering anything? It is possibleto do drugs and get something good out of it, but someone like you who's closed little mind seems to know someone else's thoughts and motivations wouldn't understand.

i know this got off on drugs and alcohol, but where do the points about car polution and paving roads come in? im lost in that aspect. and pingdum, ryan is right, why would you want to get wasted and then have to ask people who were there what you did. to me that isnt cool. and the entire ill never do anything is getting blown way out of context. that meant never do anything as far as drug and alcohol wise. but then again, i wouldnt expect people like pingdum to understand that. (and i dont think by any means i am a moron.) and what does if you never leave the house you'll live forever, no you won't. you will die sometime. and as far as the roads being paved and all that crap, is that something that you can really change yourself, realistically? no, so i dont know why that is being brought up. drugs and alcohol are something you can change for yourself, it's a matter of if you choose to or not. anyways, im not posting to this thread anymore because it is getting to the point, im better than you because... and no one is better than anyone. so with that i'll leave now.
oh, and i hope everyone has a happy easter.

You said you make choices because your body is a temple and you don't want to harm it. Air polution caused by your car and the car culture has caused way more damage to your body and to the earth in general than all the weed you can think of. If you really care about the state of your body, ride a bike and eat organic food.

and pingdum, ryan is right, why would you want to get wasted and then have to ask people who were there what you did. to me that isnt cool.

Once again, who said anything about getting so wasted that you don't remember what you did? Not me. This is the kind of attitude that non-drug users have in their ignorance. Just like someone who doesn't understand that everyone with a slick-looking semi-modded out sport compact is not a street racing thug. Just as everyone who experiments with drugs is not a jacka$$ like the two guys in the original story.
and the entire ill never do anything is getting blown way out of context. that meant never do anything as far as drug and alcohol wise.

I understood what you were saying, I was just expanding on the theme. I think people who limit themselves in some ways often limit themselves in all ways.

but then again, i wouldnt expect people like pingdum to understand that. (and i dont think by any means i am a moron.)

How do you know what I am like? I never said you were a moron.

and what does if you never leave the house you'll live forever, no you won't. you will die sometime.

That's my point, you're going to die sometime, so you might as well get all you can out of life. Don't die living your life in a bubble.

and as far as the roads being paved and all that crap, is that something that you can really change yourself, realistically? no, so i dont know why that is being brought up.

Of course you can. Do you think they just magically appeared? They exist because someone changed things according to their idea of what the world should be like. You could do the same.

drugs and alcohol are something you can change for yourself, it's a matter of if you choose to or not.

Also my point, I never said anyone should do drugs who doesn't want to.

anyways, im not posting to this thread anymore because it is getting to the point, im better than you because... and no one is better than anyone. so with that i'll leave now.

Asking questions and then not sticking around for the answer is the best way not to learn and to stay ignorant.

And for the last time, I never said anyone is better than anyone else, I apoligize if my initial comment seemed harsh, but look at this great discussion it spurned, much better than the usual "my intake is better than your intake" thread. For those of us open-minded enough to actually read and try to comprehend everyone else's opinion, this has been nothing but positive.

oh, and i hope everyone has a happy easter.

Religous debates are for another time.:D

to all the people who think we are looking down on you:

think about this- how good can your life be if you have to get ****** up to enjoy it?

i love my life and i like to enjoy it while sober.

now, if your saying that that s*** doesnt impair your judgement-then maybe you ought to put the bottle down and find a new hobby :)

This is getting funny, but I've vowed to keep going and maybe after I've answered all your criticisms you all might be a little more aware.

Nobody said you HAVE to get ****** up. Nobody needs more than 55 hp to get where they're going, but that doesn't mean there is no desire for it. More hp just makes driving better.

Me too, I also enjoy smoking bongs and contemplating the universe, the two are not exclusive.

So does sex, more people have ruined their lives over sex and love than weed and booze, I don't see any of you suggesting we go without that:D

By the way, I don't drink, that s*** REALLY ***** you up, IMO. I've even only smoked weed a couple times this year. I've got school and other things to worry about (like using my money to pay for my P5). I agree, when ANYTHING impairs your judgment, it's time to think twice about why you're doing it. If it's Sex, Drugs OR Rock nad Roll. :p

BTW Protejay5, that look you've got going. Backwards BBall cap, soul patch. That was NOT invented by people who DID NOT smoke weed. Drug users affect our lives in all kinds of positive ways. Whether you want to admit it or not.

the only thing im aware of is that your a fast talker that has to justify everything they say, and this isn't a dayum college essay so grammer doenst mean a dayum thing nice way to change the subject ;)

Heaven forbid someone would actually have reasons and logic behind their opinions. I was personally attacked and was sticking up for myself.

and this isn't a dayum college essay so grammer doenst mean a dayum thing nice way to change the subject ;)

Here's a good life lesson, you are judged by everything you say and write. Something I wouldn't quite expect a brash young whippersnapper like you to understand, but you will learn Grasshopper. :D

welp, im odviously brighter than you considering i dont need additives such as drugs and alcohol to have a good time, have you ever been able to have a good time without it? On the issue of being judge by everything you do or say and write, if you dont know me dont judge me, and if you judge me without knowing me, then thats an assumption, and yanno what happens to ppl that jump to conclusions they end up sticking their foot in their mouth.

oh, another thing under your name it says speed safely, cant exactly do that if you've been drinking, or doing drugs, but im assuming with comment under your name your do that stuff responsibly and dont pick up the keys afterwards.

I've already answered this like 3 times, but I will again. Plenty if times, that's my whole point. Drugs are a means, not an end.

Well, how do I get to know you? By reading what you write. So if what you write is sloppy and incoherent, then I assume you are.

That's all part of the philosophy.:D

I just want to say again that I never sympathized with the drunk idiots at the beginning of this story. There is a difference between getting high and getting ****** up.

hmm.... I always laugh when I read threads that turn into this. It seems that all the clean and sober people start pointing fingers and downplaying the lives of people that use drugs and alchohol. (i hate that, what is alchohol? It's a drug. Can't we just say drugs?!?) I have friends of every nature. I have ones that smoke up and get plowed a lot, and I have ones that have the whole "body is a temple" vibe going. It doesn't matter what other people belive in, or how other people live their life. Just as long as you are happy with your own. As far as myself, I do not use drugs, but I do drink. Although, I have not been drunk since I was 19 (now 22) but I guess I enjoy alchohol now rather than enjoy the side effect of too much alchohol. I personally could care less what you do. If you're a cool person, I'll hang with you. I guess my moral is,

"be responsible, be compasionate, and most importantly; just be yourself."

There are limits to everything, knowing where they are is a good start. Knowing you have to stop at those limits is even better. Being careless, and irresponsible is a threat to everyone else and I would not stand for it either. I think you did the right thing turning those guys in.
