ok, if you read part 1 (in the protege5 forum), this is what happened while i was at the gas station filling up.............
im filling up the p5 with gas and a truck pulls up. a guy opens the passenger side door (leaves it open) and stumbles over to me mumbling. he was asking me if i knew where any strip clubs were. he is standing about 7 feet away from me but i can smell the alcohol. i told him i didnt know of any cause i dont go to them.
so then he stumbles into the gas station to ask the cashier. at that time the driver is leaning over the passenger seat asking me for directions and i can tell he is wasted. plus i can see 2 open beer cans in the cup holders because the passenger left the door open.
the cashier gave the guys directions and they left. so it took me about 2.5 seconds to make the decision to call the police and report them. i gave the police a plate number, truck description, and direction they were headed.
say what you want, but i couldnt live with myself if i would have read the newspaper and found out that they killed someone, especially if i could have stopped it. i feel good about what i did. i know the guy is going to have a shitload of legal trouble if he got pulled over, but i dont give a s***. i have no sympathy for dumb ***** who get tanked and then decide its a good idea to drive home. people need to learn and i hope he does (if he got caught).
