Not sure havent tried it yet lol. I assume I could i'll have to see the next time I shut my car off

i dont think your supposed to drive it while its counting down

no dude if you put it in gear and take off it will stall hard dont try it!!!!! im pretty sure most peoples cars with TT cant be locked until its done counting down, mine couldnt.

man, i swear, you can take off in my car while its counting down. beleive that. them foo's did a bad ass job.

that is very wierd!! i wouldnt recommend doing it if you can for real. and i dont think it was the shop i think there is a problem with your timmer i think they are all built w/ a saftey feature that will shut your car off when attemting to drive away to prevent theft. so i would be more concerned that you TT is malfunctioning.

I have the Greddy TT. When the parking brake is released, the car will shut itself off - regardless where the timer is on the count down. The car will not restart without the key. Also, you CAN lock the car when the TT is on. You cannot use your key-fab but have to hit the "lock" button on the door. Make sure you hit it when everyone is out of the car and you have your keys in your hand. The alarm should set when it is done counting down and the car turns itself off. If NONE of these are your case, then someone has installed it incorrectly.

or the device is malfunctioning! TT are very straight foward if you brought it to an actuall shop and its wrong they obviously shouldnt be doing work on cars.

If it's malfunctioning, then he should be able to get it replaced. What make is the TT? And it sounds as though the wires may be crossed, not particularly due to a malfunction. Human error more than likely. Check your wire colors against the instructions that came with the TT first, then take it back.

Have you tried cutting the two wires (one orange wire going into the alarm module, and the second in the back under the back lid)? once those are cut you should be able to arm the alarm while the tt is counting down

Lock the doors with the "LITTLE BUTTON" on the way out. You will find it on your door, It has a LOCK and an UNLOCK function.

J/K man, don't sweat the small stuff.

The best way to go about it is to get a closed loop monitor, such as the one by DEI ( manufacturer of Viper and Hornet alarms). You have it hooked up to the Turbo Timer output. Once it sees no more power on it's input it will pulse the output, which you connect to the factory alarm.

On most Mazda's Arm/Disarm is done on one wire with a 1000Ohm resistor (Not sure if it's arm or disarm that needs the resistor). You can get this trigger wire at the keyless entry module in the trunk.(Mazdaspeed)

I'm not sure what the orange wire is you are referring to.
I only had to cut one wire and it is blue and white. It is in the rear deck, going to an alarm module box(see pic). This is the wire that tells the alarm that the engine is running. Cutting it allows the alarm to arm at any time(Yes, even while you are driving your car).

Could a mod please copy and paste this post w/ pic into the how-to section? I have seen this question asked too often, the solution is so simple, but people have a hard time finding the info. It's as easy as pi. 3.14159265... :D

And about driving off while the timer is counting down: Most turbo timers come with a parking brake kill switch. If they wired your TT correctly, the engine will shut off as soon as the parking brake is released. If they did not wire that up for you, it is also a simple fix. Pop the plastic cover under the parking brake and find the only wire down there, tap it and connect it to the appropriate wire on your TT(consult your specific manual).

Yes, my car is very dirty. Shut your pi hole.

I was told to cut that wire you mentioned in the back and an orange wire going into the alarm module (pin#5 i think) but anyways, I guess that part was a wasted step as my alarm functions the way you described.

They just didn't hook up the parkingbrake switch, that's all. I didn't hook mine up either. It wasn't worth the time to me. Without the key in the steering wheel will lock when they try to turn, so they won't be able to get anywhere. Plus, they can only do that for however long you have your turbo timer set for. So if you have it set for, say, a minute, they'd have to wait till you got out of view, break into your car, attempt to drive it and not get anywhere, and within a minute of you leaving it would turn off anyway.

About the not being able to lock thing, you have to cut the wires the people mentioned, or else it won't lock. I've been meaning to get around to doing it, but what I do is just push the door lock button while I'm getting out of the car. It's become such a habit, however, that I've locked my keys in the car while the car's running ;\.

The greddy should also come with a speed sensor which is used as a backup to the parking brake kill switch. So if your car goes faster than 1-2mph the engine gets killed.

You really SHOULD connect the parking brake cable considering its a 5 minuted process ;)

I have mine wired and I can use the key fob and lock my car when the TT is on, and when you release the emergency brake the car shuts off . I had to use a relay and the shock sensor will not activate until the car shuts off.
