I'm from Long Island - and I've seen a few cars with "LI Extreme" on them.
I'd love to know where those motorcycle trails are - surely my lady would like to run her Jeep through some of that (staying on the ground, of course).
The jetski stuff was definitley filmed on the south shore, in the Great South Bay. Looked to be near Jones Beach Theater (now Tommy Hilfiger at Jones Beach Theater) in case any of yo have heard of it. I was fishing in the bay just this afternoon. I'll blame my no-catching on those damn jetskiers (hehe).
And I think I recognize the business complex where some of the street racing was, and the drags were definitely Riverhead Raceway. Very cool!
I wonder if they's take me into the club - I'm an extreme couch potato.
BTW - most "bay" people and boaters here HATE the jetskiers. They are generally the cockroaches of the bay (it's a BIG body of water) - they love to buzz boats, and pay no attention to safety at all. One guy actually tried to jump the wake of my buddy's boat a few years back - only he wasn't smart enough to realize there was a guy wakeboarding off the back of the boat. This guy caught his neck on the line, and the ski handle whipped around his neck and cracked him in the head just like in the cartoons. Guy got his bell rung - HARD. Nearly killed him - moron.
Not all jetskiers are like this. But enough are to get the general boating population to dislike them. The rice-boys of the sea!
Anyway - good to see Strong Island represented!
