Been working on my new turbo build will be finishing it up tonight but i wanted to get a opion on this.. im running a external wastegate 38mm if i dump to air that would make my a/f ratio in accurate since its seeing less air than the maf is seeing correct? Or will the a/f ratio be un touched since a/f isnt based on volume its based on the compound of the air itself.. what im getting at is in the long run.. is it ok to dump to air and still achieve the same performance oposed to routing back to the exhaust.. thanks in advance

VTA.

Vent
To
Atmosphere.

It will not alter the AFR.

The majority of the Exhaust still goes out past the O2 sensor.

It won't affect your AFR in the slightest, but won't help if you are trying to score with a Greenpeace chick that happens to know anything about cars.

Also route the exhaust somewhere else besides your engine bay. That is some really hot air filled with soot that will cake everything in black grime and add unnecessary heat. The VTA EWG's I've seen mostly just cut a hole in the hood or fender.

Mine will dump under the car when I do it. All the bless around here cut holes in there hoods and exhaust an screamer pipe right out the hood. Looks terrible.
