External Black Trim

You guys wash your CX-5s? I don't think I've washed mine in 8 months. lol!

I'll need to pick up some of that 303. Keep hearing about it time and time again...

I mainly use waterless car washes now, just spray and wipe. I know it is easier to scratch but just don't like using the hose that much.

I use Turtle Wax Ice. You can use it on the paint and all external trim. Looks good and its easy to apply.

I just waxed by car with Ice and was pleased with the result (I've never seen water bead like that on a painted surface!!). I didn't use it on the black. Did it deepen the black and make it look less weathered?

I washed and waxed (Meguires) my CX-5 this past weekend. Used 303 for the interior dash as well as the outside black trim. I have no complaints with the 303. Great stuff!!

Bon

I know how you feel about wetting the garage. When I'm in San Diego and can't use the hose due to water restrictions (which I hate), I use ONR or similar formula in the garage. My Cali garage flooring isn't in tip top shape, so it doesn't bother me too much to pull the car out to the driveway.

You're kidding! Is the water gestapo really that powerful down there?

We got a place there three years ago, though our home is actually in NYC. I'm not entirely sure on the restrictions, but they do exist. I believe it's called "Drought Response" and they vary in "levels". There are HUGE summons for those who violate the rules during certain levels. Violation includes washing cars using a regular household hose LOL. Also, restaurants can't serve extra water unless the customer requests it (which I find hilarious).

Is there a "special household hose" that is acceptable? Ahh California, ya' just gotta' love it!

Had to Google that. Deep well water as a primary source and treated waste water as secondary source. "Dual water". Sure beats SoCal water restrictions.
