If your reading this, chances are that you also hate when your key fob is out of range and would love to just lock it from ..Wherever!

Below are some links to DIY's on some other cars, so you get an idea of what im looking for...

SO if anyone has a diy or any idea on how/ where the antenna wires are located, that would be awesome, and I can try extending it....If it works well il even make a DIY :]

Im looking for something along the lines of this:

Anyone know how to do this for the Proteges??

Thanks, and hope someone out there does know, since i know for a fact that everyone hates having only minimal distance.

P.S.

And yes..I DO know of the trick to hold it to your chin/head lol .

Put your key fob on your neck in the direction of your car. Your body is an antenna now. Problem solved.

the keyless module is located under the drivers side dash on the protege5, and under the rear deck in the sedan. (section 9-14 in the shop manual)

i dont have the wiring diagram to figure out which wire is the antenna. but, if you can find the module, you might be able to at least test it out.

:) I didn't. I was at work on my cell so I overlooked it. My mistake.
no harm done
