i noe everyone has been discussing bout the sound and everthing but i've no one has discussed the power gains from it.

WEll i want to get one also. So far what i have is a Ebay SRI, and OBx Headers and i want to know wat is the best exhaust system that may work best with that?

i've been looking closely at Racing beat but iono call you guys tell me otherwise.

if you want full catback system i recommend either megan racing or greddy evo... i have the HKS hiper, but its only a rear section. also, Tanabe makes a clean looking rear section too, but the power gain will be very limited with the rear section exhausts.

megan have a alright gian with a sri, headers, and a megan i put out 107hp

Most aftermarket systems are mandrel bent. Few places will do custom mandrel bent exhaust. There are new mandrel benders that are a lot less costly, so more and more places are starting to have the capability. However, I know of many shops that claim to have mandrel benders just to get you to buy from them and some just don't know any better.

honestly, if you're looking for the power end and turning sound to the wind, I'd go with a corksport powerseries. It deletes the second cat and botls directly into your header. That'll be the most hp gain out of a complete exhaust system you can get.

Otherwise, MAM midpipe and catback like Racing Beat. But you'll end up spending like 300 more than just getting the corksport.

I have a INJEN CAI, a ceramic coated header, a MAM highflow midpipe with CAT and a MAGNAFLOW CAT back exhaust. I am dyno'd at 116.4 WHP. Stock protege dyno's at 95 WHP.

But I did see a stock P5 go from 95 whp to 98 whp by adding an ebay SRI with a K&N filter. So there is hope. If you want to use horsepower and Protege in the same sentence it better have a turbo.

true... sad... but still true.

on the bright side, it sticks to the road like a fly on tape. (thumb)

I dynoed 101whp with CAI....stock was probably 101whp...Just don't mod a P5 for power...go buy some big sway bars.

I prefer "sticks to the road like s*** on velcro" myself. But that's just a personal preference thing.

I guess you're a master at sticking s*** to velcro then? eww lol

Anyhoo, I'm very happy w/my auto p5 after putting in various performance mods. It's gotten to the point it should have been when I got the car off the lot. And that's all I need :)

Sure, we'll go w/ that. Actually a Robin Williams quote. I just thought it was appropriate.

ANyone know how the CS powerseries exhaust sounds on a P5? I have a injen CAI and I'd like an exhaust system that sounds close to stock (roadster sound) and won't take too much of a chunk from my wallet.

I was looking at the Racing Beat but it's $450 on their website. Anyone know where I might find it cheaper?

Racing Beats don't usually sell any cheaper than that. A few months ago, that was the cheapest price I could find. Honestly the only way to get a discount is to get one used.
