Exhaust shop-test pipe

Anybody know of any exhaust places locally that will make a test pipe, i.e. remove the cat. converter? Legally you can't remove it, but if you go to the right place they will do it i hope. I think it's who you know in this situation.

I'm thinking of buying a hi-flow cat off eBay for 40 bucks shipped and seeing if they'll do me a custom pipe b/n my OBX header and RB catback.... if anyone has good results please let us know.

I've heard that most shops will make you one that can be interchangd if you explain that it is for track days.

the place ron took his car too, just said " oh this is for a race car right" and took the cat out.

I just told Danny I'm definitely in for having his friend Paul do me up a catted midpipe.

Anyone have any thoughts on whether I should get 2.25" or 2.5" ?

I was told 2.25 would clear better and that's all I'll ever need. Especially seeing my OBX header is around 2" and if I go FI it would most likely be WOMPed.

If you can't find anywere in GA you can take a drive over to bama. There is a shop 'in my area' that will do it if I'm there. What are you wanting? Just a cat delete section or a full exhaust?

AL is probally way too far for my friend...
He wants a side-exit catless exhaust from the headers back....
and possibly a set of headers for his '99 mercury cougar(v6)

something similar to xelderx's set-up...
