exhaust rattling

DAMN............ there's a loud ass rattling noise coming from my exhaust.. sounds kinda like when the shift linkage was sitting on the piping. kinda loud during idle.. that's it.

but it's not that.. i can still drive it.

jack is broke and no more stands, dunno where stay... gotta wait for my friend to lift it and check it out.

i waiting for my racing beat exhaust, so hopefully it comes in on monday then i can take a look.

frickin noise is irritating!!! any ideas on what it might be?

Happened to me, it was my flex pipe. cracked...had to get a new one welded on. Loud vibrating rattling noise. Hope that's not it, cause it was a waste of good $$$.

ya I have that issue on my MP5 it has to do with the bracing of the exaust, if i hold it up or down it doesnt vibrate, and its the same with it doing it at the idle

Sadly, it's loose again, and it's rattling again, yet i'm too lazy to fix it. haha.

Ya I hate 25th they are bunch of retards and just screwed me out of my E5 but, all my money is going into my kids and my 240 until i can find a way to make my MP5 RWD without cutting my arm off, take it easy 808 and you got my vote for MOTM

Get em fixed at ESH. I was so emarrassed when I'd stop at lights...my rattling was so loud that people w/ their windows up would give me strange stares. GRRRR! I could feel the vibrations up through the floor sometimes too. I actually almost busted a hole in the shield w/ the O2 cuz I left it so long. LOL!

swapped out the old exhaust... installed the racing beat!!!
MUCH MUCH QUIETER!!!

i forgot to replace the front gasket so gotta do that... that should tighten up the leak (slight one).

next... new tires... brakes.... drop.... etc.

i got the same prob, but it only happens when i slam the bass supa loud... my good friend (mechanic @ mazda) said its the heat shield rattling...

well you gotta slam your bass. Get out of the car and take a look to see what's really ratteling. Probabaly the whole car.
