I have a question bout the street unit ghl full turbo back exhaust. I see that it's not flanged. I've had an exhaust like that before, and it was nothing but a headache. I had leaks and all kinds of problems. It looks from the pic that it just slides together, then you install calmps. I'm not downing ghl or ********** what so ever. I think they are an awsome company, and i love them. but i'm thinking bout buying this exhaust, and i would like some input. If anybody has this set up (the whole turbo back) please reply and let me know. Even **********.

I have it. Ive had it since it came out. The original Design didnt have a Flex pipe in it so the hangars broke. However its been redesigned and that issue is gone.

Its a quality piece. Its a 3" so its not really quiet but its got a nice tone. their customer service is awesome.

If you put it on properly it shoudlnt leak, ive only had it leak once and that was cause the repalcement muffler section they sent was stretched a lil too large and SS is pretty tough.

It was replaced and all was well.

well thats all cool, and sounds like a good product, but does anyone have the new design???? I just want to make sure it works properly b4 it's bought.

i do :)

they just put a flex pipe in the downpipe so theres flex in the system.

i have a howto if u need it too on how to install it.

Id like to see the how to. That way i can see what you did.

I also have the full setup. I thought the same thing about it not being flanged. At the time, the only two exhausts worth considering were the ghl and the ion. But Ion was almost twice as much and they had some reliability issues. I've never had any leaks. I've had no problems with GHL or their exhaust. But, I have the old design, without the flex pipe, and my hangers broke, but $20 at my local muffler shop fixed that straightaway. It hasn't been a problem since, but if it does, I'll just ask GHL for the flexpipe section, like terbow did.

I've been toying with the idea of selling it for something quieter as I've started 2nd guessing how far I want to go with the MSP. I might just do stock exhaust with a cutout (if i ever wanna get on it, hehe) and a Unichip and be done with it. Overall, I love the exhaust and the difference it made in the performance of my Speed.

here u go. no pics but its pretty easy. theres a way u can do it without taking the turbo off but i couldnt do it so u have to search for that.

I was sold from all the positive feedback and never hesitated in getting it. The not neing flanged thing came to mind...but I quickly said to myself...what the hell do I know. It was installed without removing the exhaust mani, on a lift makes it alot easier.

I've never been so proud of the way my car sounds...it's exactly what I wanted. It just sounds so damm healthy, the rumble it makes at 5000rpm is insane.

The only bad part is the in cabin drone. You'll never have to worry about falling asleep at the wheel...that's for sure. If you got a pretty lady sitting beside you, just keep it under 3000 rpm. You feel the worth as soon as you step on it.

i have it and mine recently broke (it was the old version without the flex pipe). called up brian and he's sending out a replacement system this monday. great customer service and i LOVE the system.. fits nicely, good gains, and sounds great!!! i definitely recommend going with GHL...

well thanks guys, i think i made my mind up, and i think i'm going ghl i'll just need to save up the money first. Peace out.

Exhaust with a cutout ? Could you please explain, and what type of gains are possible. thanks.

its an electric valve that branches off the exhaust flow to wherever. so basically its like running an open pipe when you tell it to. good idea, very loud. gains vary by application :)
