Exhaust Poll

Im on a very tight budget and I don't want to spend a lot on a cat-back exhaust. I've narrowed my search down to two axle back exhausts - mazdaspeed muffler or the ractive axle exhaust. I know that a cat-back would be a much better choice to spend my money on, but I'm not ready to spend $350-750 on a cat-back that only yields 5-10 hp. Hey much props to those who have it so don't bash me on it!! Any info and suggestions would be appreciated.

I personally think u should get the mazda speed...u know how it goes....the nice sound of that exhaust is AWESOME!!!!!!!it might not looka s great but think perofrmance wise.....for a price like that....hands down...mAzdaspeed...

yea the mazdaspeed axle back is sweet.. i love the sound when i turn on the ignition.. and it's just right, not too low and not too loud

I have the Ractive and the sound is better than the Mazda one.

Johnjay - There isn't really any difference performance gains between a cat-back and an axle-back. At most, a catback will give you an extra 1-3HP(due to the larger diameter piping). I know I can't tell the difference of a 1-3HP gain.
