Exhaust dump kit??

I was looking into putting a dump kit on my MP3, can any one tell any pros or cons about putting one on my car. Currently The motor is pretty much stock for the exception of a cold air intake, obx headers and corksport power series exhaust.

cons= backpressure is good for low end tq. your not turbo or running some crazy NA setup so its not going to do much except piss everyone off.

I wasnt sure if it was bad for the motor or not. Im building custom pipes that are going to come out my fenders sorta like a street rod but i wanted them to be functional. The only thing i can think of to make them functional and still be street legal is use an exhaust dump kit.

technically anything in front of the rear wheel is illegal if your car came with a rear exit exhaust. check your local laws but most places iwth inspections have that law.

Its illegal in my state unless you have your stock exhaust functional. thats why i wanna keep my regular exhaust coming out the back, and have a set of pipes coming out the fenders with a dump to em. Ill be legal at that point and will still have the abillity to run open headers.

ohhh i get it. well if u use it just for racing i suppose it might help but dont expect mounumental gains without raising compression, and doin other NA monster stuff.

should work though.

Im not looking to race it or even for any hp gains. I wanna do it for show. Originally i was just going to mount what looked like exhause pipes out the fender but i got to thinking and thought it would be cool if i could make it functional. I just wasnt sure if the motor could handle no back pressure or not.

yea it will operate fine if u do it dual like u said. you just lose your lowend. but if u ahve the stock on there too (ie a cutout) the 2nd o2 wont freak out.
