Exhaust Borla?

I was wondering if anyone here has the Borla cat-back system for the '10 MS3? Or is everyone waiting for CorkSports to release their cat-back system?

I was told by a few people that the system borla offers is just a rear section. Its not actually a cat-back? Any truth to this? I emailed Borla and asked directly but wanted to know quickly. I would call but Im in South Korea and the time difference is killer.

This is what I saw on their website. It doesn't say cat back so maybe its axel back? Why not get a borla muffler, and do a custom exhaust?

I went with a 18in summit racing glasspack as a resonator, and a 3" Borla Pro XS. No cat. 3" starting right after the s-pipe

ha, i just posted this on another forum:

so i called Borla just to see what's what on the mazda 3 exhaust. turns out the speed 3 exhaust, which is available is axle back, not cat back, per they found no performance gains with the cat back. odd thing is, it's still $700+, at least directly from their site.

i then asked about the regular 3, and they said they'd have more information in 4-6 weeks as they are doing some R&D on the car. they aren't sure if it's going to be catback or axleback yet.

just thought i'd pass this info on. Borla is probably the only other brand of exhaust i'd look at other than CS. i had Borla on my '06 and it was stellar.

Thanks for the info. The person I spoke to wasnt as helpful I guess. He couldn't even tell me if it was cat-back or not. He just gave me a link to the system that I questioned him about...Seemed pointless to me.
