OK need help, I really like the MazdaSpeed but I want to faster. NOw I got an offer from the Mitsubishi dealership for a new EVO at MSRP, which is 30900, not they are selling them for 35000. Same with a STi I got them to go to 29995, what does everyting think. Does those prices sound too good to pass up or should I just put some money into the speed and make it faster but at the same time voiding warranties?

Too good to pass up? Wait another year and both cars will be going for under MSRP. Remember what folks paid for the MSP at first?

get the Evo.

The mspeeds are nice, and i love it, but if youre in the market for a fast car, and can get an evo do it.
Also, you might want to look at the SRT-4...

if you want more speed the evo and sti are both great cars.
drive both of them and then decide. i think it will just come down to personal preference.

ahaha

are you kidding me? No offence but you can do all that stuff to Neon and it will still be a neon, there build quality is the s**** I would never buy a SRT-4 let alone a piece of s*** neon. Mazda is such a better built car. NEON ahahahahah

evo's..sti's...drive them both..then decide..don't listen to anyone other than yourself..they are very different cars..me personally, im all about STi's..yeah sure, the evo's handle..but they don't have the power for the money, and aren't that comfortable inside..to me at least..STi's are just straight up thrash..i wish i had the money.

SRT-4

Screw a SRT-4

I swear you buy a SRT-4 you be sorry on the long run, look at Neons reliability record! they are the worst. Now smack a turbo on it and you still have the same car......NEON cheap alternative pile of dookie

i'd go evo... but thats just me.. and cause my brother already went the way of the suburu and I can't copy him and his wife... isn't it nice that he can afford 2 of them?!?! that bastard! hehe... but yeah.. I personally like the evo

ColinsT- Have you DRIVEN an SRT-4 ? I bet not. I have, several to be specific, and the build, and quality is there in this ride. :D It surpasses the 01 I owned by far.

I dont care what anyone has to say about the SRT-4, sure it might be fast, I dont trust dodge in the car market. hell if you want to pay 20000 give or take some for a SRT-4 go ahead but im not and will not go that route, I am all Japanese because they know what they are doing, not wannabe dodge and their SRT-4. I would rather spend 10000 more on something that has proven its self (EVO and STi)than one that hasnt. Hell why dont I go buy a pile of a SVT Focus.

Re: ahaha

imo, i wud disagree and dodge has done a lot more than mazda has done for enthusiasts.......

I dont care how fast the SRT-4 is.......if you drive that aroundin a neon, girls will laugh at your ass.....get something that doesnt look like a Neon....Mitsu is coming out with a cheaper version of the Evo (RS?) that doesnt have the back wing and comes in at about $28K or so......

With all things aside my family has had some good dodges, I like ther trucks. I just want to go Japenese. The truth of the matter is Im glad dodge has brought the SRT-4 out that makes in racing world have more competition. I wont get one but more power to the guys that get one. I am leaning more torward the EVO though. Thanks everyone for the input, I really do like reading these forums
