Evo Sighting.

Hey, I just saw the new Evo during lunch today. GD what a sight! For a minute I that it was an 2003.5 speed, but the big front mount suggested otherwise. I couldnt help noticing the similarities between the two rear wings. I think Mazda my be trying to boost sales by making the Speed look Evolution like. The funny thing is that he was checking out my SPEED with as much intrest as I was checking out his bright blue EVO. Anyhow the Evo is a sweet looking ride.

I think I'll make a point to walk into the Mitsu dealer this weekend and take a test drive. I hear the price is in the 30k's

30-33k is about the sticker, though some are pushing it to 50k. Friend got his for 30k though.
Good luck on the test drive, they are starting to get picky with letting people go out with it.

But 30k really is not a bad price for the level of performance that car truely brings.

The WRX STI will be pushing 300hp for about the same jingle.

And the EVO VII kept up with the STI. In fact the older STI was faster during a test on the Japanses Specs.

Power isn't everything to behold, the lack of torque plays in to consideration.

I'd be very impressed if, and it is a big IF, the STI is faster. Cause so far the EVO is just insane when fully pushed.

oh friend was running 13.0s his first time at the track, and won't even mention the insane corners and back roads we've taken.

yep was leaving my neighborhood and passed a guy with a yellow one coming in. Ended up talking to him later in the day and he even took me for a test drive. Wow is about the only word that comes to mind. I love the interior and the performance is just insane. Would definately be a great buy for 30K but he said he got jacked at the dealer $43K OTD.

Very impressive and I agree about the torque, power to weight can also pay a big roll in getting from point A to point B in record times.There are so many fast factory coming out that I almost cant believe that the manufactures finally caught on. How do you like your PR5? I had one for about 4months or so, myself.

Loving the P5. It is not the fastest in a straight line, and can easily hold its own in corners.
Plus I love hatchbacks/wagons, cargo space, able to carry people around.
The looks are very nice, confortable etc.
No regrets so far. Though if I had known about the Mazda6 I would have waited. In fact did not even know the P5s existed till I went to the dealer with my parents to pick up their Miata. Next week went and got the P5

But do want more power!!!

I have a set of groundcontrol coil overs & 17 ASA by BBS 2pc wheels for that car if you are intrested, or know of anyone. I used them for about two months. The coilovers actualy helped the handling and made the car ride much smoother then the factory stuff. I spent close to 2K for the wheels & coilovers. I'll let them go for1k obo. My PR5 was looking quite aggressive before I trade it for the Speed.

My neighbor has a yellow one. Its sick. Hes had about a month now and he loves it. He tells me my yellow P5 had a lot of influnce Now its just a matter of him letting me drive it.

i saw 2 at the autox i went to on sunday. they are ******* bad ass. Those things hall ass. they sound sweet too. One guy put up some really impressive times in one.

Yeah, I see a black one around where I work sometimes. It's very sweet. I'm not crazy about the styling on the front, but with the black a lot of that is hidden and it looks more badass. I wouldn't get littler color if I ever had the $$ for one.

I was test driving a Vibe GT (don't ask) and some other guys from the dealership had the Evo out. Flat gorgeous. Even on the cams with the GT, that Evo just ROCKETED away from us. Kind of tucked its tail under, sucked the dust off the road, muscled up to those bars, and... VOOM. Gone. Beautiful to see, couldn't hear it over the Vibe's 7500+ RPM thrash. Sat in it later, it's really fine. They're really picky about who test drives it.
