Even NEWER reflash for the MS3?? Since the fuel pump TSB

I have an early '07 build MS3. I brought it to the dealer about a month ago for the cold weather, rough running TSB hoping to get the reflash and fuel pump, but only got the reflash.

Today, I brought it back to the dealer for a mystery noise (ended up being bad wheel bearings.... 8500 miles on the freakin car). While they were checking the car the service guy says there is an even newer reflash available for the rough running/stumbles when cold. They reflashed it again... haven't had a chance to drive it yet but will post when I do.

Anyways just letting you guys know. Oh when I pick up the car and paperwork I'll post the code for this as well.

Sorry guys I didn't get a 'part number' for this new flash... we had a really bad storm here in S.E. Virginia today, and when I went back to pick up my car, the power at the dealership (and for the whole block far as I could see) was out. As such, they gave me no printed invoice or anything. I go back on Thursday to have the new wheel bearings installed and will see if they can give me some paperwork at that point... honestly I have a feeling it won't happen because the people at this new dealership (Cavalier Ford in Chesapeake) are douches....

Car drives fine anyways, still pulling strong (I felt the car was a bit stronger, especially after 5500rpm, after the last flash), and no stuttering or misfire to speak of, but it hasn't been cold either so who knows.

They still haven't replaced/fixed my fuel pump, anyways....

did you come to the dyno day last weekend?

Nope... haven't been to a dyno in about a year.

For the bearings, I noticed a really loud grinding noise, low pitched, whenever I would reverse with the steering

ok I got my invoice frm the dealer. Here is the flash information:

".3 - F0010XFX - PCM reflash (need #) Latest update calibration IDS."

That is exactly what is on my copy. Again, I JUST HAD a reflash maybe a month ago when the reflash/fuel pump TSB came out. So this is an even newer flash.

hope that is helpful to someone.

I believe that is the first step a tech takes in "fixing" the fuel pump problem. They flash it first and if it persists then they might consider changing pumps.
