I'm going to have a bunch of crap on my windshield too, as I have a V1.

The feature I like on the Gtech is the tachometer with the shift lights. A shift light is nice to have- don't have to watch the tach as you race to the redline!

I'm going to have to get a splitter to plug both in at once, though, one of those 1 plug into two things.
? there is not tach on this one.. I have the Gtech gt1 or whatever the number is.. it only has times, G's, and braking. I dont see how it would tell your rpms, seeing as how it dosnt hook up to anything except your lighter...

yes my g-tech came with all the hardware to hook up to the pc. and i get free downloads for 3 years of updates. i got one of the first ones and it didnt have the staging lights but now i have them . i can store a bunch of runs and with other cars at the same time then compare on the computer. and does have tach built in with shift lights. i found it to be off around one hundred rpms.

this is superspud I just dont want to log out marc at his house

anyway, what model do you have? the one in my car right now isnt even mine, but my friend gave me everything in the box, and the instructions, and I saw nothing about staging lights, or tachs or anything of that nature.. perhaps you have a different model.. which do you have?

Yeah...the newest G-Tech, the Competition Pro is incredible...but it's also expensive, and bulky. The Escort/Beltronics ones are cheaper and smaller, and easier to use.

I had the old G-Tech pro before I got the Beltronics, it was a pretty good unit but was inconvenient at times...mainly because it wasn't autoleveling (no big deal, just level it until the G's read 0.00) and didn't save your vehicle's weight (sometimes a PITA to do HP runs...but the weight is only needed to calculate HP, everything else works).

I still have my G-Tech, and will be selling it as soon as I fix the cigarette plug..if anyone's interested let me know. I have no use for it so it'll be let go for a good price :)

Neither of mine sense RPMs. The G-Tech Comp Pro senses slight power pulses in the cigarette lighter socket and determines the RPM...surprisingly it's accurate.
