enkei rsv offset of 45 225/45 235/40 235/45??

well i got screw in a rims and tires deal on the other forum so I am in need of tires I have had 225/40 and 215/45 frankly i am afraid of the 40's sidewalls spooks me that its so little and im babying the car nonstop. I like to rip it up on the road so i want some sidewall and there are some potholes around so i want someprotection for my new rims.

on a 235, you can't go 45 series...it will look like a donut and you'll rub in the rear. Stick with the 235/40, they are a little thicker (profile-wise) than the 225/40.

But the 225/40 series tires are also fine, it just depends on what rim size you are putting them on and make sure you are not stretching the tires, thus reducing sidewall height.

if i rolled the fenders would that solve the rubbing issue? I'm not really concerned with the look of the tires as i like my rims and want some serious gripping power and really really want that safety cushion between me and potholes

I've heard rolling the rear 1/4 panel will solve the issue...and you can't lower the car either due to the increased height of the sidewall. But since I've never done it myself, I can only tell you what I've read and seen.
