Engine Temp Question

Hey guys I just bought some CALTERM Wire Looms for my engine they say their "Flame Retardent" up to 200 f so yea do you think that they'd melt in my engine compartment? I need to know ASAP because I put them on and I'm driving the car to work tomarrow and dont want them to melt! Yup thats it. Also if you think they'd melt do they make high temprature looms? Thanks

Well, the engine can gets much hotter than that during regular driving. Just the exhaust manifold gets to about 500+ Degrees F! I wonder if they would melt.

Don't worry about it. That 200 temp mean direct contact to 200 degrees. All wire looms are the same. Just don't wrap your muffler with them and it will be fine. I even have the on the top of my valve cover and I've had no problems. And they are the cheap ones from AutoZone.
