engine swapped, now an electrical gremlin...

So just got done swapping an replacement engine (forged and all), got everything hooked up then went to start and battery dead. So I grabbed the battery out of my Altima (sue me for not being another Mazda) and got only the headlights to turn on, literally nothing else. no dome light, dash, radio, obviously nothing engine-wise. I heard that there might be a fusible link in our MSPs so I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue?

I've literally rebuilt both the engine and transmission and hate to be stumped by something that could be simple or not. Appreciate any advice in advance.

So took all engine compartment fuse box fuses and relays and tested them all, all shown good, but i did notice some purn marks where a couple of relays plug in, including the main relay.

Seeing the schematics didn't really tie the two relays together. so the only other thing was the main fuse, and what do you know, completely open.
