hmm, your exterior paint is definately tough to match...the black probably matches best, but you're right, kinda boring....i guess it depends on whether you want it to be fast and the furious look or a classy look... yellow would stand out...or a dull orange (spicy?)

classy look sucks for import cars, car isnt a clasic, why make it look like one..
yellow and metallic beige.. not feeling it..
orange and metallic beige.. dunno..

curse this beautiful color...

hahahha thanks man, i was just thinking the same thing....sorry to Mr. Detailer for completely jacking his thread....anyway, im gonna cast my vote for a spicy looking color and leave it at that....

Any under hood shots to work with. Have you done calipers? Set a scheme to match them maybe. I seem to have gone crazy with red but I like it. Did all the panels inside also.

but ur car is red, let me dig up some pics of the engine bay..

i do have blue neons all under it ..that would match..

yeah the blue looks good on accent pieces, but i think that for painting something like the valve cover and intake manifold, it may be overwhelming color...

remember: simplicity is something not many understand.

with that said, find a way to powdercoat (maybe do a mix of powdercoating material) the color of your car. be subtle; you know there are enough god awful flashy cars out there as is.

Very well said!
Clean will always win over flashy. They might look at the flash now,but they will ALWAYS look at the clean cars.

thanks; proteges look classy as is, in my opinion.. don't go all crazy with contrasting colors.

it's a car, not a box of crayons.

the reason i dont want black, it dulled out to fast, 1 month it was dull and dirty, even after cleaning it, it didnt retain its shine..

i know, the problem is finding anothe color that will match my car.. will regular car paint stay on the engine , or will it not hold and bubble off?

You will need High Heat Paint.

Let's see something not too flashy. Hmmm!
14kt Gold plating on the valve cover with matching 14kt 18" Daytons

Really though Blue, but not that bold WRX blue. Maybe a few shades darker than your hoses. I'm into the coordinating thing so maybe calipers at the same time, Or No?
