Engine bay shave?

Where did you route everything?

well on the passenger side there really is only 6 wires.

the fat harness that runs over the manifold has:

1) cam pos sensor (+)
2) cam pos sensor (-)
3) powersteering
4) crank POS sensor (+)
5) crank pos sensor (-)
6) AC

I don't have AC and just ran the crank pos sensor wire under the motor.

the other three i routed them along the motor mount, and then through the gap between the IM runners and chamber.

my ign coils are located ontop of the IM, so those wires run under the IM as well

the INJ wires run in between the IM.

Drivers' side has alot more.

there is
H20 Sensor (+) (-)
O2 sensor 1 (4wires)
02 sensor 2 (4wires)
Maf sensor (3 wires)
AIT sensor (2 wires)

and for the atx there's a s*** load of them.

then there's the ABS senor and unit that hides under the battery all the lighting wires, etc etc.

but a quick clean up if you keep the battery, is to undo the loom that runs over the valve cover and simply run it along side the motor where it's alot less visible.

you can direct swap the 1.8L ign setup and have a very clean valve cover, like mine.

or just get a msp engine cover.

i should also mention that there's various other sensors that are on the IM. hiding them wasn't easy, but it can be done.

next is removing the Cruise control unit. as soon as i find a how to.

shoot i give ya props man! you got balls thats for sure!(2thumbs) if you get fed up with the cruise control line that runs through the fire wall just cut it and pull the wire through... i dont know if the cruise control can be used after cutting the wire but it sure makes for an easier job

so tried to turn the car on.. no go...

battery was dead...

after a long charge still no go...

i've never paniced before like that in my entire life...

armed and disarmed the alarm and she roared to life. sweeett!!!

What type of wire did you get (if you know) and did you use one gauge wire for everything or .... and what size gauge you actually got ?

Props for sure for attempting and succeeding in it, do you have any electrical schematic of protege at all ?

i matched all the wires to their original guage which ranged from 12G to 18G.

I don't have an electrical schematic for the protege, aside from the one in the work shop manual.

I've actually been meaning to get a hold of the wiring manual but dealers don't seem to carry them any more, in an effort to be "green"

More work done. almost there. someone find me a perrin fuel rail!!!

How much would you charge to do mine?! lol JK but really wow man looks good! wish I had the time and patience cause I would be all over this. maybe one day when I get a daily.

this looks great. have you emailed these pics to sam yet?

and you should go pick up some other color vac line for the crank vent, the yellow looks really out of place... maybe change the one blue elbow on your IC piping too.

seriously professional looking stuff though... really nice
