Engine Bay Noises

Ok, lately I've started to notice some noises I didn't before. It could just be a psychological thing, or a real problem with the car. First, if the steering wheel is dead center while I'm in neutral, and I move it to the right a little bit. I hear this squealing type noise. It's not very loud, but if you listen, you can hear it. It doesn't happen if I move the wheel to the left, only to the right.

Another problem is a metal rattle sound that I hear at certain RPMS. I can reproduce this easily, and even parked between two buildings and gave it some gas so I knew I wasn't just hearing things. It basically makes the rattle @ around 800 and 1000 rpms, I can't remember what the other RPMS were when I heard it above that. It even sounded really nasty for a split second when I got near 3k. But if I stop, and get to those revs, it will always happen.

Anyone know what could be the cause of these problems? I've lost so much faith in my car since trolling these forums. I've never even hit WOT. I baby the engine as much as I can. But it still seems problems arise. :/

If the items are as you say "easily reproducable" I would take it back to the dealer.

I think the turning of the wheel and it squealing means power steering problems. I don't understand why you only have it from turning to the wheel to the right.
I do not have much help beyond that.

i have the same rattle right from about 2750 to 2900 rpms, its a heat shield rattling on mine, yours too probably. There are actually two heatshields, the midpipe is the first rattle, then the other one above the muffler rattles at about 800-900 rpms, sucks.
