Engine #3 For Me!

Wiring in the sense that that injector crapped out on me? Why would that happen last year on stock ECU?

What idea was that?

I had this idea that maybe he was running a stock intake mani...but it isn't stock, it's been ported & vtcs was removed. Since alot more guys running 15+psi seem to have the single runner IM....I thought maybe the stock intake mani being more restrictive, creates more heat or something?

Hmmmmmm... Interesting. It would be an intermittent failure too, so there's no way really to test it. If I had an injector dropping out though I'd notice the loss in power.

Not this time. It pulled hard till the bitter end, then when I pulled to a stop after I rolled down my window and heard the piston knock.

Here are some pics of the offender. It wasn't me watching Sex and the City, it was my girlfriend before anyone goes thinking I'm gay... Despite how scored the piston is, the cyliner will get away with a hone.

That scoring looks really bad. Even the pistons that come out of my oil starved motors aren't scored that bad. Something else is going on.

i thought you were gay not because of what you watch...but because your avatar...

but is all cool

lol

That's cause the piston was slapping back and forth in the cylinder since it was missing a piece.

You certain that your valvetrain components are still intact? Especially on the intake side. What is the octane rating of the gas that you use up there. At 18 psi your effective compression ratio is up pretty high.

91 Octane, and yes valvetrain is still intact.

I have a hard time believing that a small piece of piston missing would cause the piston to get that out of shape. The whole piston is the same diameter and the missing piece wasn't even at a point parallel to the way the piston can flop. Also if the piston was "flopping" in the bore the lower most part of the skirt should be scored more since it would have the most contact with the cylinder wall.

You're still using the stock fuel rail? I thought you swapped that out. Plus isn't there a limit to the rail? The flow limit I mean and it's still being fed from one side. Which could be that injector 4 is not providing enough fuel. How was fuel pressure? I say upgrade to new injector wiring and upgrade the fuel rail? I dunno...could be wrong.

but it boils down to this:
this is not the first time a FS-DE engine is boosted so high.

It still makes no sense regardless of us trying to pimpoint specific parts. Those same parts are being used on others car without problem. Why is this happening to him? well, you shouldn't had ****** that white girl...you my have some voodoo s*** on your car. i bet you look around a find some panties with a rock and some leafs under the carpet somewhere. Just do a cleansin on the car and you'll be all set...get rid of the bad spirits.
