ok the way im going to propose to my girlfriend is this. she loves puzzles. i am going to have a photoshop picture that i will make saying "will you marry me" and then have the puzzle company make it into a puzzle.

when she puts it together ill be johnny on the spot with the ring...

so what do yuo think?

more importantly and the reason for this thread...what size in pixels do i need to make it to 11x14in photo not grainy?

At least 200 dpi (dots per inch), so at least 2800 x 2200 (6 megapixel)

better make it big easy pieces so it doesn't take her days to put it together

i dont think it'll be too many pixels, i'd guess like 2000x1000 or whatever like a 4mp digital camera's highest setting is should be enough

I'm not trying to be a dickhead, I'm just saying think hard about it. I've been married for over 11 years so I do know a thing or two about it. And I did have the voyeuristic view via this forum of watching you go from "my wife is the greatest thing evAr" to "I hate that lying scheming b****". So out of concern for a fellow 5er I say think hard. Do you really want to end up being 35 with 3 or 4 divorces under your belt?

thanks. but no, i never said i liked her. if i did it must have been a good day. we had problems from week one. i realized at that point i was stupid but tried to make it work. after 2.5 years of bulls*** two things happened: one i realized i didnt want to be miserable because i was too young (24 tommorrow), and two i knew what to look for in a prospective wife.

unfotunately in the middle of my long ass separation and ensuing legal battle i met my current girlfriend. sometimes you find the right person. despite the circumstance im not going to let one person go just because of my former wife or situation. i had no intention of dating for a long time but that is when you find the person you should have met long ago.

so far we have been together between 1/3-1/2 of the time i was with my wife, and lived together a 1/3 of the time i did and i have never been more happy. when you are truly happy, well great.

and btw, im not going to get married until at least next november. so even longer away just to put the final "make sures" in place.

well matt, I have no ******* clue what size or anything...but I can tell you, if it feels right, do it bro. I know the feeling you are feeling man, prolly to a lesser extent and s***, but still...you just kidna have a feeling when something is right, no matter what it involves. And man, if it feels right, which is does, go for it, which you are...so good.....oh, and send a picture of you two when you get married to your ex..make sure you both have middle fingers up, and the words 'YOU ARE A ****' in a flower arrangement..piss the evil b**** off or something man.
