Does anybody know of a decent header to get for the P5 that isnt an OBX? The OBX header needs some work to fit and it sounds like it wont pass emissions? Ptuning is gonna start selling a DC sport header soon but who knows how much thats gonna cost? Ive heard that Tsudo has a header but not sure who sells it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The Header that Protegegarage sells fits without modifications. The only thing you would have to do is make a CEL/MID eliminator. You don't need to make a eliminator if you don't want to. If you don't make it, your CEL/MID light with come on since you remove the first cat. All the Eliminator does is trick it to make it think everything is ok.

I don't think Va does emissions. If they did alot of people I know would fail.

nova is the ones that does emmissions not sova

Technically, tailpipe sniffing isn't done anymore on OBD2 cars. They just plug into the port to read any CEL codes. That's it.

^^yup, they just plug you up to the obd II and if you don't have any cel, then you are pretty much ok. i have a thunder header that fit like a glove and didn't have to do any special tricks.

Where did you get that header from, and do they still sell it?

you would have to contact Protephile and see if he has any left or wait for him to have another group buy because he orders them from overseas. he is a good person to deal with and his quality of products are great.

Man NoVa blows! Always trying to mess the scene up with emissions! LOL I'm looking at getting a thunder header as well, but with my Corksport exhaust lies a whole nother issue of being completely catless.....

I have a catless corksport exhaust with my thunder header. i think its a lil bit too loud for a daily driver and maybe a lil bit too raspy as well. Looking into a high flow cat and possibly an axle back or a silencer
