Electronic Keypad for lock and unlock??

So on my old truck (06 F-150) I had the keypad on the driver door and i could put a code in to unlock/lock the doors, i was wondering if anyone has done this mod or know if one could be put on the MS3?

i think the pad on your doors is like a remote-not directly conected to RKE brain/computer, if thats the case im sure you could mod a factory remote to work with keypad system..though you would have to find place to put the pad itself, cutting the door would out of the question of me.. i think the next step would be the smart key system, im sure that this will be hitting the aftermarket soon.. while near the car it remains unlocked, then as you walk away it locks itself.. a hole lot of cool

i agree cutting the door is out of the question but i know some people that didnt order that option got wireless ones that were stick on that you could put anywhere on the car/truck. I just cant remember if they had to do something special with the main computer part that actually receives the signal to make it work or if it was just one of those universal kind of things.

And also cause since i had my truck so long with the keypad i got in a bad habit of just locking the keys in the truck since i didnt need them on me to unlock it and its proving to be a hard habit to break haha

I have seen these for sale somewhere, but I'll be darned if I can remember where. It is a thing with 5 buttons that just sticks to the door with 3M double-stick. When you type the "secret code" it sends the unlock signal just like your remote. If I remember who makes it I will let you know.

ya i agree looks kinda cheap, def. let me know if you remember where you saw them at! i tried calling ford parts to see if they could get me one but they gave me the run around about having to look it up. So hopefully they will call me back with something!

MS6 conversion

I mean.. both are mazda and similar. Is it possible to move that Smart Key system from the Speed6 to the Speed3? Starter and all possibly?
