I have a 2004 mazda 6. About a month ago the car started going crazy. It started out the battery light would come on and the car would shut off. Shortly after the car would go into third gear and stay no matter what I did. I replaced the alternator and that cured the above problems. But here's the weird part, while all that was going on the low beams quit working, the locks unlock themselves when I use the interior lock button or manually lock them. But not when I use the key in the door. And the car does that dinging sound when the driver door is open even when the key is not in the ignition. Maybe the bad alt. Fried something. I have no idea... any help would be much appreciated!
