Electrical issue help

I have a mazdaspeed 3 that is having random electrical issues . The car randomly will reset the stereo as if I am starting the car for the first time the screen says hello. When this happens if I hit the gas the cars entire electrical goes Down . The lights will go down or flicker I lose steering assist . Of I turn the car off and back on it stops it and it will be fine . This will happen random. It may do it 10 times a day and then won't do it for a month . All the grounds seem to be secure the battery is secure . Help !

Bizarre. Have you done any under the hood mods? For instance, some intake mods reposition hose or inlet pipe clamps too close to the wiring harness or the ECU. Over time, vibration and engine flex in the engine mounts causes contact with those wires, frayed insulation and short circuits. Check for damage to the wiring harness.

You also might need to reflash the ECU. If you are on stock tune, that would need to be done by the dealer. If you are running an aftermarket tune like Cobb AP or Hypertech, reflash back to stock and see if the problem goes away and then reload your performance tune. The problem could be in the ECU, but first look for cut or frayed wires or a software hiccup.
