i installed my eibach pro kit today. whenever i go over a bump, there is a "clunk" or ratting sound like something is loose. i checked everything, and everything seems to be tight. does anyone know what might be causing this sound? thanks.

check the nut on top of the strut... also search i remember reading a thread about this same problem.

mine makes that noise. chances are it's the springs hitting each other due to progressive rate springs. i have checked and double checked that all nuts and bolts are tight.

well I know the ground controls do this because thay are being squished by a clamp (coilover), but the springs alone shouldn't do tis. Def check the strut top dead nut, you need to tighten this after you install the springs and THEN let the car off the jacks, because the strut compresses to drop height, and the nut goes loose, the different spring not pushing as high.

it depends how deep these bumps are, sometimes when I woudl hit craters the rear springs would touch for just a second. its nothing to worry about, like twilight said, its just the coils being progressive

it happens when i hit little bumps... and sometimes when i turn...

I had this problem with one of my front struts. It was the upper strut nut. Hope it id this easy for you.

Also, double check that the swaybar nuts are tight...I left one just slightly snug, and when I hit bumps it would shift and cause a clunk.

I have also heard LOTS of reports of people having clunks in their rear suspension and folks think it's caused by the swaybar hitting the lower control arm...it's REALLY close when the car is just sitting there.

My car on Tein S-Tech springs doesn't do it though...
