egt reading

My site is being revised as we speak, but my MX-3 is now turbocharged after 3 years of supercharging bliss.

I used to have the ONLY supercharged V6 MX-3 in the world, but eventually there were others and I decided to go for more power and simplicity after the "uniqueness" factor no longer applied.

The site update will include the turbo transformation.

Yes my probe is in the 4th runner 1 inch from the head. It usually peaks at 770 or so, but sometimes can jump to 790, 800 occasionally.

I am overboosting sometimes. Seems if I run it through all the gears, it stays at 6.5, where I have it set. If I am cruising and downshift to 4th it will boost to about 9, maybe higher, I let off when I see it jump that high.

I am not hearing or feeling any kind of detonation though, so I think I am good.

NC_MP3, do you still have a CEL with the ES ECU? Did you fix the CEL, or do you just not care? I'm still debating the switch.

Did you placed the EGT on top, side or under the runner?

A picture will tell more than a thousand words...

Cause Im expecting my manifold soon and thats the first thing im going to do with it.

I think that the EGT is in the first cylinder, not the 4th.

number one cylinder is by the crank pulley

I dont know if im running lean or what, but the greddy shows 12:1 and the egt is going for the 625C probe in downpipe.

Is this a bit lean? or is it just...ok?

ah, in 3/4 100octane gasoline with 1/4 93octane

duMb KeoLa, I don't know how I missed those pics, but DAMN, that's pretty cool how you did your gages on the passenger side of the dash! Did you fiberglass it or have someone do it? Sorry to get off topic, but I had to ask.
