So do you guys remember like... the second post when I said,

"It Looks Like It Is Facing The Wrong Way"

Do you all understand what I was saying now?

The DP should bend to the rear to facilitate mating up with the rest of the Ex system..

This one bends towards the front making it a requirement to use such a stupid piece of "Bend"

120 Degree..

Abandon The DP Idea. You will never recover any performance gains associated with making it "FLOW"

well I thought i would try something differnt..I will not be putting the stock back though this works fine for me, but yes it points a tad foward but nothing crazy.

lol yeah, the original v pipe is horrendous.. I've really never seen anything like it. Having said that, I wouldn't scrap the idea so soon. If you think the 120 pipe will work, and want to try it then go for it. I'm behind you 100%, because this is how progress is made. You're like Rudy and the DP is Notre Dame.

i know why the dude made it the way he could not clear the stauds and nut so he made it long so it would be easy access. I have this already figured this out now its just money and time.

first problem is the water neck. Definitely need a spacer

second issue possibly is that there is barely any clearance for the oil fitting line.

heres another shot. You can see that oil fitting how it wants to sit naturally against the pipe.

And third you need to make your own j pipe. But realy not that bad dont have to cut nothing just make a j pipe and get a spacer and your good.

"Wow, very interested in how this turns out. It does look like the flange will be angled slightly towards the front of the car instead of the back when reversed, but looks like it could be compensated for with a custom J pipe."

I said pretty much the same thing as Brian. I don't think the 120 degrees is such a bad thing if properly curved. How many degrees does the S and J pipe turn originally? But it definitely is not ideal, and I don't see a solution to the oil return. It's unfortunate, but I think you have to cut your losses on this one.

Wonder if CS still has theirs in stock?

I do. A very simple one. Have a block off plate made for the MBSP and tap an oil pan. Done. I actually had the exact same thing going on with my Pope. I, however, am using an NA MBSP, so I didn't have to worry about the blockoff plate, and tapped my oil pan when I went forged. And as of September, Corksport had 6 of their downpipes in stock.

I don't see how it's "pointing the wrong way" because it simply isn't... While I agree that angle negates 99% of any gains he's acquired, I think he needs to do some more "R&D", not give up, and come out ahead. Now concerning "pointing the wrong way", I think when compared to the Pope they're close in the "direction" and angle.

holy jesus

just saw the pics.
i don't think it is worth the toruble, as MP5t said....this is just horrible!

for the money and time you have spent, a good performance shop would've made you a sick downpipe by now.

perseverance is good, and i agree with that...but you have to know when to let go...and when i saw that angle of death, that was the signal to let go...

i showed it to my girlfriend who knows nothing about cars and she said "holy #$^&, even i can tell thats not supposed to be like that!!"

lol..

I was never discussing it with you. I was Telling You. The DP Bends to the Front of the car, This is because it was meant to be on a car that has the turbo exit on the other side.

Please dont compare that hunk of crap to the Pope.

Please do not continue to mess with making this work, it will never be better than stock.

Stop wasting Time and Money on a lost cause.

Not trying to be hostile, simply trying to help you see what we all already can see clearly.

although a little harsh, he is right...

reality sucks, but it is best to walk away...or find a way to mount the turbo in reverse and clock it...
