Yeah me too. The only thing is, when you install it, will you tow the car to a muffler shop or just drive slowly without an exhaust, or are you planning on welding the J pipe yourself?

I can't believe we are just now finding this. Even at full price, it is half the cost of the CS, although I guess it does already include the J pipe. However, cast iron is a hell of a lot sturdier than SS and shouldn't require super stiff motor mounts to not snap. I'd still put a flex pipe in there somewhere though.

It should. Interested in how this turns out. Any info on gains seen with this dp no need to tow it to the exhaust shop. The exhaust has hangers, and they work.

I think we're more concerned about shooting flaming hot exhaust gas into the engine bay, what with the missing J-pipe and all.

Yeah, that's a huge reason for concern.....

If you drive fast enough the gas will be sucked under the car and not be an issue. You should try it.

Well, I am pretty sure the plastic undertray will be completely liquified in seconds. You can probably kiss the lower radiator hose goodbye as well and if that melts, all hell breaks loose. There's probably a dozen other things that will be destroyed pretty quickly I am not even thinking about.
It's probably worth the $80 tow.

If you could get chummy with the shop owner, maybe he would let you install the downpipe at the shop. We probably all had our manifolds off enough times to do it in a reasonable amount of time, although I like to drain and remove the radiator to give myself more room to work, but not like you couldn't bring a couple gallons of coolant and distilled with you.

You seriously think that would happen? I feel like reinstalling my OE S pipe just for s**** and giggles to disprove this theory of yours.

This is why I asked if you just plan on driving slow. The airflow at low rpms is low as is the heat comparatively. I would still be worried about the plastic undertray melting, but it might be ok. You could just take it off for the drive over. Radiator hoses can handle a bit of heat, but I wouldn't want to cook it for too long.

well the pipe should be here tomorrow but I ll have to wait on installing it since there is no more dinero to spend. But ill take pics for sure. Just spent money on belts and installing my other power steering pump. The holidays are brutal on the wallet as well.

Just do what I do, have no friends and buy nothing for anybody but yourself! THAT's the secret to happiness.

What's the diameter of the round opening where the turbine exhaust exits ( not the collector)? And can you take pictures of where the wastegate exhaust merges into the turbine exhaust? Thanks.
