Eddie Griffin Ferrari Enzo Crash

Yahoo's main page says it's totalled!? That's doesn't look totalled to me......might cost 150k to fix it but it ain't totalled. He must of been going about 50-60mph when he locked up....oh well.

The car, one of just 400 manufactured, belonged to the film's producer, Daniel Sadek.

youch....see what happens when you let people drive your car...and thats why only 1 other person has driven my MSP lol

oh wait, nevermind...the producer is obviously ******* nuts..or has money shooting out of every orrafice on his body

The real-estate investor has put up his own money for the $26 million picture, and allowed one of his two $200,000 Porsche Carreras to be destroyed for a scene in it.

What made you hate him? Just curious.

I just find him irritating, not funny..

He's just another one of those "I'm black, isn't that funny?!?!" comedians.

Well it is carbon fiber... so good luck fixing that. Not like Ferrari has Enzo parts lying around anyways. But yea, I'm sure they'd fix it for the right price.

Nah, he was moving at a decent clip.

Yeah, now that the full clip is up, you can tell he is moving pretty quick! Still a bonehead move though...(hand)

is this confirmed for real? the video's kinda fishy...for one, why did the car bounce off the wall like that? and second, the guy standing by the wall RIGHT where the car hit didn't even flinch.

its real...

its funny (didnt watch the video so not sure if this is in it) but he was asked how fast he thinks he might have been going, "50/60 mph?" "more like 90-110 you dont go 50 in a ferrari" then the reporter goes on to say, "he might of been exaggerating since the course was set up so the drivers cant go past 60" lol

is there not a board in the nation i open or log on to that has in top post or new topics of the day is this article!!
guy is an arse anyways! he wont help pay for it! doubt it!

from the sound of it, the owner of the Enzo (also movie producer) fronted his own 26million to make the movie and several of his cars to be destroyed while making it...so it wouldnt be too far fetched...

I dont see ferrari ever selling this guy a car again directly tho....

My thinking exactly.

"Totalled" here may refer just to the insurance company's decision to not repair the car. Which still doesn't make a lot of sense though. The value of those cars is set by the market and it's currently well over a million dollars. The car looks pretty good from the front of the cabin back. Even if every piece in the front end has to be custom machined it's still not going to cost a Megabuck to fix it. Or maybe the value of the spare parts from the back end is over a million, in which case the insurance company could make a profit by paying off the policy holder and parting it out?

What idiot set up that course? The concrete barrier was right next to a relatively sharp turn, so that anybody who lost it in that turn would hit the wall. No bails of hay, stacks of tires, or drums of sand or water to slow down a car before it hit the wall.
