ECU Flash (Philippines)

Mazda 2 1.3L MT
Sorry if it's rude to ask.. but does anyone know what I'll need if I want to reflash the Mazda 2s stock ECU? I live in the Philippines so I feel it isn't super practical to be shipping my ECU abroad so I want to do the tuning with the help of my local shops.

The shop I'm closest to at the moment uses Tactrix? What else would I need? My car uses the 1.3L mzr but half of the cars here use the 1.5L aswell as far as I can tell the only difference between the two engines is the bore and stroke.

No need to ship the ecu to us, we tune it remotely for you. Tuning, license, hardware, and lifetime updates are 459.00

Thanks, just a few questions though...

Will I need a dyno?
Can I rent out a tactrix from a local shop?
How much will it cost?

You don't have to use the dyno, unless you really want to. And we don't bolt a car to our dyno until it has been completely drive cycle tuned, and that is only to get the last little bit out of it.

You can rent a cable if you like, but the price above includes a cable.

The complete cost is 459.00

Well I've posted my intent on this on our local club and there quite a few other guys interested in getting a tune.
As far as I know there are no tuners in the Philippines that flash Mazda ECUs so I'd really like to spread that here.

I mean, would you be interested in partnering up with a local tuner that uses Tactrix/Openport 2.0?

Well, the shop I'm affiliated with doesn't seem too keen on distributing a remote tune. Rather they want to avoid having to mediate between customers abroad and would rather do the tuning in-house and make their own maps since they have the hardware.

We'll tell them good luck. The denso ecu is very difficult to learn and we have spent years and thousands of dollars defining the tables, and testing them them on our own test cars here not only on the dyno, but in race and real world driving testing.

One thing I would caution you about; do not let them experiment on your car as they try to learn the ins and outs of the logic.

Fast road to brick an ECU?

I don't see anything?

Really? Maybe I sent it to the wrong email. What is your email, ill double check and resend. I planned to call but work and school is keeping me busy.

Oh I know why, it was sent to the file email. I just clicked dynotronics and that was the email for the name. So it should be there, unless you want me to resend to a different email.
Thanks.

This would probably be the one thing that's stopping me. I'll post up what I decide to go on up here later on.

Normally they tune Hondas with Hondata afaik. For some reason Honda is really popular in the Philippines. I mean seriously I wen't to the trackday once and literally 70% of the cars are frankensteined EG/EK civics. The only race prepped 2 that I know of was tuned using Unichip :l.

Asking around though so far I know 2 "2" owners that also want a tune, but maybe down the line a bit. And another mazda3 owner who's interested.

tell you what; you purchase the remote calibration for your car, and if your not 101% happy with what we do for your car I will give you a 100% refund including shipping. Further, if you have club members/friends I will give you the dealer price for them and you can, as our dealer, make few $ for the effort you have put in. Fair enough?
