Ebay intake how to?

So sorry if this is a repost. I did a search and didn't come up with much.

Finally got my ebay intake. Now I need to know how to install the thing. Is there a how-to floating around here, and could anyone be so kind as to point me in the right direction and give me a shove?

Also, I have heard that there is a problem with the intake rubbing against the brake master cylinder. Has anyone come up with a (ghetto) solution for this?

Thanks in advance.

Short story: As I was taking the various intake pieces out of the box, I could hear something ratting inside that POS filter they give you. Reached in and pulled out a rather large cockroach :p. Gonna get a K&N anyway, but still: it sure gives me some confidence in the quality of product.

Damn. I posted a pretty thorough How-to about a year ago. Now it's gone...(?)

couldn't you just follow a How to with a aem short ram or something simular?

/me does a Mexican dance... (mj)

Okay, now does anyone know where I can find a how-to for an AEM short ram?

Oh, and can anyone tell me the correct part number for the K&N filter that I am trying to find. The guy at Advance just scrached his head, and after checking online I have some maybes, but nothing definite (measurements are tricky)

Opening: 3"
Base: 6"
Top: 4 3/4"
Filter length: 5 1/4"
Overall Length: 6 1/4"

I know someone out there has bought the ebay intake, tossed the sh**** filter that came with it, and bought a K&N. Help a brother out ;)

Alright, I think I got the right part number: F030A6

Can anyone back me up before I order this thing?

Sorry to be a pain in the ass mod, but we are trying to clean up all the forums to make it easier to search for items, and less cluttered. In the future, please post in the appropriate forum...example - Intakes, dispite being for the Protege5, belong in the performance section. Buying a carbon fiber hood for your Protege5 belongs in the Appearance section. If you raced someone in your Protege5 it still belongs in the Racing/Motorsports section. If you have any questions, comments, or complaints, feel free to PM me at any time.

Thanks again for your patience as we clear up the forums to make it better for you!

I'm gonna zoom zoom this on over to the performance section for you. i would also suggest following the other how-tos for a SRI.
