Eat it up guys! The new turbo manifold... :)

clearly you have no idea then, Corksport was going to make us a intake manifold. But it FAILED you know why? Because R&D for a intake manifold is expensive and not many people will buy them because our cars are so rare. That is also why aftermarket support for our cars are very limited. And I am taking rich's side because no other company out there has even stepped up to the plate to make one of these for ours cars but then a Member of this forum designs one and decides to market it! that to me is unbelievable!
 
keith is right. Not to mention that they are extremely close to being completed and are going to perform.

Lets keep the thread on topic please. I like the design of the turbo mani. Are the runners equal in length? What schedule steel , how thick is it? Keep us updated on how it goes, i want to see that thing jethot coated!
 
it isnt getting coated cause its stainless and pictures do not do justice on its finish...its beautiful, as for details on what steel he used i do not know but could find out. and for equal length if they arent they are damn close. on a turbo car equal length isnt a huge deal anyway...

ill post updates. mani is going on tomorrow later in the day so i should have pics possibly wednesday or for sure later this week! stay tuned :)
 
yup looks like all the others out there. its cool, but steedspeed still has them all beat. equal length does not matter with turbo, so wtf is the deal with making the restrictive bends all over the place? flow will suck, and the lag will be obvious. get a "real" mani and make sure its divided so you can match up a "real" turbo that is also divided. the best part about our cars from day one is that they are not like having a Honda. if you are heavy modded, you definitely have some unique s*** and it takes a lot of time and money to build a bad ass protege.

your so called friend ****** you for that $800. you could've had a s*** load of toys for that much. steed's only $650 and gives you an external wastegate with v-band. now thats the s***.
 
this manifold is just to keep the car running condition. when i do my build on my spare motor im going to have another one made but ram horn style with external wastegate for a 30r :). yay me!

Off Topic i know i keep thread jacking but, Viralphrame I did not mean to come across hostile I was just stating that, our cars has horrible aftermarket support. Like i said i wasnt getting hostile I was just trying to state my point in a firm manor. Sorry if you took it like i was jumping your s***.

angry much? lol. i have enough "toys" in the car already, plus its a mazda, they're slow...so to that i say(bird)you. but yeah. i wanted to be different and it turned out perfect. and steedspeed rust and look retarted...they are for bmw's when you cant see them. on a REAL car...not a silly mazda.
 
oh and one last thing, obviously you're not too smart with turbo cars, the "restrictive" bends, add length to cool exhaust temps...cooler exhaust temp=more power you tard. sorry you dont have a cool manifold like some of us :)
 
and with all your mods you maybe put down what.... 350? please...talk about a waste of money....
