stock protege 2.3L engine.......i could have been clearer.
sorry......

I've never seen ANY Protege 2.3L engine. Where do they have that car? (scratch)

brought the graph to work and should be able to scan and post it later when i get some time...

it was 137.8hp and 133.4tq.... i wish i had brought my stock set up with me to check it out b/c i was hoping for more like 141-144hp and 138-141tq... don't have the $$ to toss at another dyno as of yet....

How much does your shop charge for dyno time? I just called the place by me and it's $125 an hour for one car.

check first post for graph, and the local one around here was 150$ iirc..... it has been a while since i called them... i did this down ct @ bristol dyno with a nepoc meet...

hmm.. strange.. if anything, the numbers should be equal or higher than others :|
Maybe I'm missing something, but reading this, it looks like you made 2 back to back runs on the intake.

Is that what we're looking at?

The runs were done 8 minutes apart. So without a stock dyno on the same day with at least 30 minutes gap, there is no way to install this intake on a stock car and do the runs. Is that right?

Let's hear more about the what happened:)

THANKS FOR DOING THIS DYNO!!!

not sure what you are looking for... car is stock performance wise except the sri intake and yes the runs were done without a base line being done first. as i don't have the cash to do a base line. if i had the money i would go and run with and without the intake to get a better idea of what is going on here.

right, I think the misconception was that these were back to back dyno numbers from stock to SRI.

What that graph shows is your car is making some numbers, but it doesn't show the differences:)

right... i believ what people were saying is that it seems strange that my numbers don't seem like an icrease over what is percieved as a stock dyno, not that my car has had one but people were getting in the 136hp range and 130tq range... the sri didn't seem to have a sig increase over that, but with out MY car having a base line there is no way to tell.... hopefully soon i will be able to figure something out...

Right.

Beyond the obvious "how's your butt feel" - it's clearly speculation.

What I also think is 4 things that contributed to your figures:

1) Heat - it saps power regardless.
2) Back to back runs of 8 minutes - seems pretty quick. Either do them 1 minute apart, or wait 30-50 minutes.
3) Adaptation - it's possible you drove like a granny to the Dyno and thus, your results were "softer" than if your OBDII was at "full throttle" adaptation.
4) did we mention heat? :)

yeah it was damn hot that day... he did have that big ass fan goin correctly but it was hot... also there were three runs made in those 8 minutes but the second run a knock sensor was hit... the guy couldn't believe it b/c it retarded timing and you could see up until 5400 then all of a sudden it all came back instantly... he siad that it usually comes back gradually he has never seen anything like it... and nope didn't drive like a granny made it from portland maine to hartfor ct in just over 2.5 hours... but heat yes.... and since i dont' have a base line with my car there is no way to tell what type of increase was had...
