Hey guys im finally forking out the 75 bucks and getting my baby dyno'd on friday at central florida turbo here in o town. Kind of dissapointed its a mustang dyno so I really have no idea what #s to expect. If any of you guys know ballpark stock / mods similar to mine numbers on a mustang dyno please list them.

Lastly anything I need to know? All I know right now is its best to pull in 4rth gear. Just want to make sure I get the most out of my time there. Do I drive it or does one of their guys ?

Thanks for any help !

if you are doing multiple runs, do one with the hood closed. i have a feeling the ducting designs will help acheive higher horse than with the hood open.

Either that or have them put a fan ducted right on your TMIC. It's been proven on the dyno to work better with closed hood or ducted air on the open hood.

Yep I get 3 runs. Not sure what fan situation they have. So your saying if they don't have the fan that sits right on top of the IC then do it with the hood closed ???

Get dry ice and put it ontop of your intercooler with the fan ;)

Why would you do that? If you want to get real hp/tq numbers have the car run the way it would run on the road. By putting dry ice on the intercooler would offset the numbers a bit, and you wouldn't get a clear idea of what numbers your car is putting out. And if you are trying to dyno tune the car it would make tuning even harder.

Yeh they told me 12pm but some riced out civic was too low to make it on the dyno. Pushed me to 3pm. Kind of annoying.

Well im a bit baffled by the results but here they are (no scanner sry):

HP = 274.1 @ 5750rpm
TQ = 274.1 @ 4250rpm

I find it odd that my hp / tq are the exact same and how high my numbers are. Its a mustang dyno and ive seen youtube videos of others (such as Rican) with more mods than me running lower numbers. I was expecting 250ish but I watched them calibrate / dyno my car so . . .

They sprayed my TMIC with some cold (water??) so it was cool to the touch for each run. No need to drop the hood down.

seems pretty normal to me, you dont realize that the test pipe and the TMIC add a good 40 HP. i'd prolly make 30-40 hp less than you which sucks but seems about right.

Good numbers for the modifications you have.

I have close to the same set up, I can haz those numbers too?

well not really...your trying to get the best numbers you can out of the car so if its hot as hell in florida and humid your not going to get the same numbers you would in a cold day up her in mass...you can put dry ice while your at the dragway sti's and ms6, ms3's do it all the time up here in the middle of the summer why do a dyno with a over heated engine......
good numbers now are mustang dyno's alittle higher then like dyno jet?

I totally agree. I'd really like to see someone do some before & after dynos with the AP map on and off to show some real world hp/tq increases.

Well, now he has the baseline. As long as he doesn't change anything except adding an AccessPort map we'll have our answers. :)

Thanks for your complements guys. I plan on getting a turbo inlet pipe when CPE gets them back in stock. Then Ill get an AP in august. Ill dyno after to see how well I do. Very suprising if I get 300 whp without a downpipe. I didn't think that was possible but no complaints here :).

And yeah I live in baldwin park which is pretty close to winter park. There is a black speed 3 (with for sale on it) and a silver speed 6 I see all the time around me as well.

The guys who did my dyno also asked me about my tuning situation. Told them I would probably get an AP and they said they could tune it there (with the AP). Not sure what im going to do because I got a pretty unprofessional vibe there. Maybe its just me but for 75 bucks I expected a bit more . . . attention.

Trips to the dyno are often times much more than $75.00. ...much, much more. If you throw in tuning with that you may be talking close to $1,000 for a day at the dyno.

They're not going to give you much attention for just 3 pulls and $75. They want to get your car on and off as quickly as possible.
