Dyno #'s Mazdaspeed FMIC

so if it follows all stock paths then injen will fit........although u said in the other thread that injen doesnt fit.....

jeff, correct me if i'm wrong.
Vic,
Injen will not fit because of the Throttle body piping. What you could do is use the CAI extension part... Cut off the Bracket reweld it to the right spot. The CAI will loop down towards the transmission housing. You will see tomorrow if your going to protege fest. Ill try to take pictures too.

yeah cool, see ya tomorrow.
i'll take some pics of the car and post them on here......if u dont mind jeff :)

Picture uploaded.

does the pipe from the IC go through the fender well hole and then into the throttle body?
thats crazy

Oh BTW we did also dyno the car at 9psi. From the FMIC and the 5 Lbs of boost there was a 35 whp peak power gain. On the street the numbers will increase.

wow, that's the first kit that actually usu the hole
Haha ya. The guys at mazdaspeed were really confident about this kit Using there little computer to calculate the size of piping etc. I guess they know whats best? (dunno) seems to me it works.

Well what do you guys call a competitve price? Keep in mind this kit does also include replacing the stock turbo inlet to maf sensor with aluminum piping. So the price i would imagine would be higher than other vendors. Then again your comparing apples to oranges because this is a mazdaspeed kit and the development process is probably different. Who knows how everyone else does there research in making this kit to be the most efficient as possible. I don't know either just a thought.

I like your shiney BOV.

I know you guys don't have a set price yet, but do you have a range? Also, r u going to do a group buy? It's very close between this and hiboost's FMIC, and the first to get done and do a GB with a competitive price has my money.

this thing is sexy. Same question as above (price range) and this will be available from dealers? Also, have you heard of anything else coming from mazdaspeed? such as a SRI that works with the kit....? Thanks

(friday)

That seems like a LOT of gain for just a FMIC. Is it a bar and plate?
