Dyno question

Has anyone run a dyno with the following mods:

CAI
larger TMIC
Corksport DP
and the Test pipe???


just wondering.


Kinda my wishlist right now.

Those mods with an AP programmer (whenever they come out) should be good for over 300 whp. That's about as far as I want to go with engine mods. no need for anything else really.

with the cobb ap.

you should probably be able to see 300 with just a CAI and possible DP or Racepipe ....

gains from the AP itself should be pretty good.

yeah i am having a devil of a time finding it now but i know i read somewhere that the cobb ap alone pushed an otherwise bone stock ms3 to 290 whp???

CPE report the turbo efficiency to top out around 300whp so if you want more than that a new turbo is probably in the works for you

Correction... it wasn't Cobb who put 290 whp on a stock MS3, it was the Xede piggyback.

288 whp with a tune and NO OTHER MODS.

With that in mind, I highly doubt the stock car will 'top out' at 300 whp. Take that same bone stock MS3 making 288 with a tune, add a CAI, downpipe and full exhaust, better TMIC or an FMIC, and I would bet big money you will be well over 300 whp, without increasing the boost any further. Each of those mods ALONE has shown 10-20 hp gain...

i agree. our cars probably freakin' RIP with downpipe, test pipe, TMIC, CAI alone.

Just passing on info that was passed to me. 288 with a tune is good news. haha trust me, I want the car to be able to put down more power with the stock turbo.

Naw...people are modding fairly intelligently with this car. Engine management is good for the car if your adding mods

Well I say just let them all mod to their hearts desire, if they blow then you'll know how far the engine can go. It's a long learning proses, these engines are built quite strong so only time will tell how far you can go.
