Dyno Day at GarageAdvance

Hi my name is Omar and I work at Garage Advance part time. We at Garage Advance take pride in taking vehicles and exceeding their power potential beyond the like of others while be efficient and reliable. We can make just about anything you want including custom turbo kits. Email me for prices. I am proposing to all Protege-Protege5-MP3-MSP owners in the Central Florida area to set up a day to come out and have a Dyno Day. Our shop uses a Inground Dynojet 248c Dynameter and have tuned and dynoed almost every different style of import and domestic out there. If there are any owners out there, whether it to make a baseline to see where your starting at, or see what that intake or exhaust did, or to tune your turbo equipped vehicle, just pm me and we can set up a date in a month or so so we can have a big gathering. Just some prime examples of shop cars,

Honda CRX - stock motor D16 single cam vtec, vafc, 440cc injectors, custom turbo kit based around t3-t4 50 trim = 312whp at 17pounds. Stock motor, forged what??? nothing. 12.5 at 117 1/4 mile

Toyota MR2 - stock motor 2.0 4cyl Turbo, with T66 Turbo, Standalone, Air to Water Intercooler setup, Fuel System = 525whp at 28-30 pounds. THis car beat the stock block MR2 record by over 150hp. hasnt made a clean pass yet

Toyota Supra - stock block 3.0 6cyl turbo, T74, standalone, fuel system, race headwork, front mount, 900whp at 32+ pounds of boost. on old setup did best of 10.2 at 130+mph.

Saturn - 1.9 4cyl, custom turbo t3-t4 50 trim kit with front mount, fmu i believe = 190whp at 6 pounds. 13.4 1/4 mile
Mazda MP3 - stock block, with custom t3-t4 50 trim, starion intercooler, 440cc injectors, emanage, bov = estimated 200whp at just 6pounds.

mp3rican007,
While I'm no where near Fl :(, I have to say, that sounds like a cool idea. It sounds like you really know your stuff and will be a great person to have around here!

Take care,
Chris

Thanks Chris,

A lot of people believe that you need built bottom ends and crazy amounts of money into your motor to make it move. The most expensive mod which doesnt cost a lot is TUNING. Without proper tuning there is no point in putting any money into anything. Just let me know if you guys want to set something up.

17 psi on a D16, hell yeah. I have run 18 psi on a stock B18 and everytime I tell someone they don't believe me hehe. It ran fine until I blew a head gasket, but the bottom end held up great.

mp3rican,
Hey I just noticed you turbo'd the MP3 and used the eManage with some larger injectors. How is this setup working? I've noticed numerous debates about how it can't retard the timing on the MP3 etc. What have been your findings?

Chris

The turbo mp3 is in progress still havent put it together but as spooling told me the timing retard on the emanage is not working properly. I am thinking of selling my car and getting a miata wit 1.8 and turbocharging it. 400hp on stock motor with standalone and t3-t4 might be fun. But if I put my car together I will let you all know, it will be a matter of months 2 months at the most.

Keep the MP3! You'll miss it ;). Be confident, some time in the near future this whole engine management thing will be worked out.
