Also if you can go without your car for a day during the week i can take your rotors and turn them down for free then all u need to do is replace the pads.

Oh yeah? Could you turn a set of rotors for me (for my GRM car) :D ? Where are you located, I'm in Alpharetta.

i am in roswell behind the QT across from the Lambo/Lotus dealer and yeah just give me the rotors i will take them to work and turn them...and anything else ya need let me know i work for World Toyota over on peachtree ind.

Whoa. There's a Lamo/Lotus dealer here too? I know of the Ferrari/Maserati/Aston Marton dealer (5 mins from me), but Lambo? God, I love Atlanta.

I'll definately drop you a line within the next week or two. Send me a PM with your name and number.

lol yeah i know where the ferrari dealer is thats only about 10 min from here the lambo dealer is right on roswell Rd.

Sweet. I'm going to have to visit that dealership to dispense a bit of drool.

What the price on these kits? I have a homemade one on my car at the moment. It helped and made my lighting brighter, and my headlights dont dim when i roll the windows up or down. But my car is alot older, id be down for something a little cleaner. i too need a brake job..:) my rear passenger side rotor is warped. Oh well just an excuse to buy those brembos.

kits range from $30 to $60, just depends on how what gauge (4 or 8) wire you want and if you want two battery terminals, I am going with one battery terminal. I posted pics of the colors available and the terminals.

do you know where you're going to do your connections around the engine bay?

yeah, it's a six wire set up that another group used at their DIY meet, but if anybody wants to change it or add points feel free, I'll post a pic of the set-up and the instructions in a bit so you can have an idea.

Here's some pics of two different cars with the same set-up I am looking at doing.
Here's the How To:
How To:
1. Cut wire to needed lengths - youll need 6 lengths. (these add up to 11 ,
so if you want to put that extra on one of them Id do it on #4 or #5 wire.)
a. 1 = 22
b. 2 = 7
c. 3 = 23
d. 4 = 33
e. 5 = 35
f. 6 = 20
2. You can use the terminal to decide how much wire to strip off the end of
each length. (I did one and it was just a bit more than a inch)
3. Crimp your 10mm 4gauge terminals to one end of the lengths.
4. Lay out the wires like where they are going to live when you are done, and
attach the Point As - the this step is optional but itll make your life easier
when you have to put them in for real .
5. Youll have to cut the factory wires from the terminal ring and put a new
10mm 4 gauge terminal on. (its the black wire with the yellow stripe that
disappears under the battery. Cut this as close as you can to the terminal
ring as youll need all the wire you can get)
6. Once your wire is lying the way you want, add the rest of the 10mm 4gauge
terminals to the remaining wires except for # 1,4, (5/16th) and 6 (17mm).
Make sure the terminal is lying the way you want as well, then crimp.
7. Put the 5/16th terminals on #1 and #4. and the big one on #6
8. Cut shrink wrap to 1 lengths and place over terminals and wire. Now is the
time to use that heat gun!
9. Put the new battery terminal on. (I dont know if it matters which way you
orient it, but if the terminal attachment point side is toward the left strut
youll probably have an easier time attaching #2 wire.
10. Attach the rest of the B points now.
11. For #6 B point if you remove the bolt holding the power steering fluid
reservoir, youll be able to get at the bolt for #6B easier.
12. Zap strap the wires into place, all nice and pretty.

I know that it might not make sense, but I understand it very well and will write out some clearer instructions if we decide to do this, if its just me doing it, then I don't need easier instructions.

1. just an example of the wires, those are 4awg and very clean
2. the set-up, ours will be much cleaner
3. different car, same set-up with points labeled

Anybody have other points they think would be better, share your ideas

Why do you think I'd say you are full of it? I got nothing against grounding wires. After all it is your car and should not care what anyone else thinks of it. As long as you like it.

You usually tend to be skeptic on such things, and call rice alot. I'd, will, put them on my car, but I'm not necessarily sold as to how beneficial they are. I figure at worst they can't hurt, and I like the way they look.

So count me in, do we have a color choice, red or yellow?

There is black/silver, blue/silver, purple, red/silver, silver, and like a clear yellow. the wire terminals are in red, blue, or black. I posted pics earlier, did they work?

Yeah, they were just a little ummm spread out, I was confused. Also, I wasn't sure if we all had to agree on one color for the gb. (poke)

whats the total price looking like right now?
price for one kit is between $30 and $60, all depends on the size wire and how many battery terminals you want (one or two) 8awg wire is cheaper and thinner, 4awg wire is more expensive and larger. The larger wire isn't neccesary but some people think it gives better results. The real results are because of how many strands make up each wire, not the diameter of each strand in that wire, current travels on the outside of each strand, not through the strand, so more strands = better conductivity. 4awg will have more strands than 8 awg. Benifits seem to vary, some people see better throttle response, even better gas milage, less dimming of headlights when power is diverted, smoother idle, some people claim power gains, some people claim nothing happened at all, but their engine looks good. I believe that grounding will allow the hundred sensors in our engine be more accurate and that I believe will translate to a more efficient engine. Again, these benefits are minimal, don't expect 15whp and 5 mpg gains from this.

I'm not a skeptic on ground cable. I don't think it will add hp but i think it will make things run smoother like opening and closing the window no longer dims your light. Or running the subs doesn't dim in gague panel. I'm too lazy to reprogram my stero presets again.

might wnt to post this in hte Group buy fourm

here
Ying I don't want to put this in the group buy section b/c I am doing this just for us locals, everything would be shipped here, I don't think people all over want to drive here to get them, they can if they want, but I don't want to mail them all over, if I turn out a good kit then maybe I'll think about it. The main reason for this idea was an install meet, I think it would be a lot of fun, you should join us, you already have wires all over your engine bay from your fogs.
