DVD in the closeable tray?

I was thinking to myself how i can get a dvd player without having to take apart the stock stereo. then i was thinking to myself what if i put it in that tray bellow the cig lighter, this way i can close it and it dissapear. It would have to be a flip out obviously but i think it would work pretty well.

But my question is how would i wire it so i can switch between the 2?

could i just splice the dvd head unit in and keep one on at a time?

any answers would help

it would have to a pretty small screen, I am sure you can cut into the speaker wires, but you would have to do each speaker individually.

the tray isnt big enough for a 7 inch screen?

A little pricier but keeps the OEM look. PS2 Slim in glove box and aftermarket flip up 7" screen!

i know it would and it would be hidden once the tray is closed.

the screen would pop out then flip up and it wold look sick as hell.
and its below line of site for cops so your pas. can watch while moving
