Just joined the forum today and coincidentally this happened to me today. I was tooling along with DSC turned off and got on the throttle in 2nd to show my buddy what the car could do. Naturally, both wheels spun up and were spinning around happily when we ran over a manhole cover and WHAM!!! I heard the loudest most unpleasent metallic smack I've had the displeasure of hearing. I looked in my rear view and the tranny wasn't laying in the road, and the car is still drving fine and isnt leaking anything. My first thought is that the more slippery manhole cover followed by regular asphalt confused/shocked the limited slip. Any thoughts/opinions/conjetures?
