DSC Off

When Ur Driving In Snow Wouldnt U Want The Tcs Or The Dsc Working Or On??

When on the road, absolutely but when stuck in certain spots, it's sometimes easier if you can burn through the snow. For me, it was stuck on a dirt road covered with ice and 8 inches of powder, trying to reverse my way out but the TCS kept killing my momentum. Also, the hill I am on requires a good running start to get to my driveway in snow and then being able to turn when you get to it. The TCS messes me up at the top where twice it caused me to stall out right at the driveway, which could have caused me to then slide backwards.

A horrbile warning to all the fans of DSC off

I thought DSC was only a burn-out-throttle-down thing, didn't realize I was shutting off the entire torque ratio management system.

I toasted the kid in the Honda next to me at a light, and then hit the brakes, came to a corner, and powered through it as usual.
Without DSC, the car went into catastrophic understeer, and slid right out of the turn like a Ft-wheel drive car w/ too much power, bouncing my baby right off the curb for about $2000 in damage to the strut, wheel, tire, bearings and tie rod.

Ouch.

Keep it on.

Dynamic Stability Control...keeps the car stable? Who would have thought...

Sorry about your accident, though...I did that once in my SVT Focus, but it was ice induced rather than a heavy foot.
