Drove on Low Tranny Fluid after Drain/Fill

Did a drain/fill this weekend. Everything went well. But long story short I ended up not putting enough in because I measured the level with the car off (yes I know, stupid).

Turns out once I measured correctly with the car running the fluid measured maybe 1/8” above the bottom of the dipstick…so low.

I estimate that I was about 12 ounces short of being at least near the low mark of the dipstick. Put back in around 14-15 ounces and now I’m about right in the middle id the lower and upper mark.

Soooo…did I do any damage? It was driven maybe 30-40 miles low.

Unlikely, you did much damage assuming you weren’t towing or driving Uber aggressively.

Thanks! The wife drove it and she drives like the elderly so yeah, nothing aggressive.
