dropped P5 tire pressure

Ok peeps, I've run a search and nothing I could find on this subject...many tire pressure suggestions for 1/4 mile, but no daily driver info.

Here's my problem. In July, I dropped my P5 with ION Sport Springs, so almost 1.2" around. Obviously, as was noted at the time, the FR of the car has a lean. Anyhow, I've noticed that my stock rims/tires seem to look flat, underinflated, but when I check the tire pressure, it's at 32.

When you drop your car, is it normal for this to happen? Should I inflate to a higher PSI? The tire says max PSI 52 or 55 I think. How high should I go. Any recommendations from people who've dropped their cars? Are you still running the same pressure as pre-drop?

Much thanks,
Haig

i run 35's. wears the tires quicker, but you get better gas mileage.

do you drive a P5? how much of a drop on what kind of springs?
and you don't see the sag in your tires? would like 3 PSI make that much of a difference?

i drive a p5 on eibachs with a 1.4 in the front and a 1.2 in the back. the tires don't look that squeezed. when i ran 32psi for a while, it looked a bit more pronounced (the fattening of the tires where it contacts the road) but it still doesn't look like it's low on air.

i don't think lowering your car will have any affect on the amount of pressure there is on each corner. the wheels are still holding up just as much weight as they were before you lowered.

Also keep in mind that 32psi is what it should read when the tires are cold. So that 32psi is really 34-36psi when the car is running. Always factor in the temperature when inflating/deflating tires.

For daily driving, you should run the recommended tire pressure listed in your manual. The lowering will change your stock aligment, but should have no impact on the amount of tire pressure you should/can run on the street.

Significantly higher or lower traction than the street pressure can cause the following:
1) Premature tire wear
2) Poor traction

Neither of which are desirable.

Track or strip pressures are a completely different story. If you are worried at all about tire wear, stay out of these sports completely :D

Peace...(hippy)

I guess my next step is to check my cold tire pressure...if it's 32, then I don't do anything...if it's less, well then I put it to 32...

thanks peeps...
